Blue Cat Names For Your Favorite Colored Cat

From the Russian Blue to the Oriental Shorthair to the Burmese, there are quite a few cat breeds that can have a blue coat. In some cases, like the Russian Blue, the coat is required to be blue according to the breed standard.

If you’re unfamiliar with the blue coat, it may not be what you’re thinking. Blue in cats isn’t what we typically think of when we think of the color blue, like navy or baby blue. Blue cat coats are a bluish-grey color, and while they can show up in multiple shades, they always have a grey-blue look.

Choosing a Name for Your Blue Cat

Naming a new cat can be a lot of fun, but it can also bring a lot of pressure if you’re hoping to find the “perfect” name for your cat. Some people are exceptionally clever and creative when coming up with names for their pets, but you may be looking for a more traditional cat name.

No matter your preference, there are a great deal of names you can choose from, but it might take some time to choose the best name for your cat. In some cases, you may need to have your cat home for a few days, giving you the opportunity to learn their personality and test out some names.

Just remember that no matter what you officially name your cat, you will probably give them a nickname anyway!
