10 Christmas Cat Stocking Stuffers to Make Your Kitty Happy

cat next to a gift

The holidays are the best time to spoil your kitty with something special in their Christmas stocking. Cats can’t have too many toys, especially the more intelligent ones. They need the entertainment that toys offer to keep them occupied during downtimes. You can always swap them out so that it seems like a new toy to them. Besides, manufacturers are constantly finding new ways to engage with cats.

Our round-up includes toys of all types. The interactive toys are our favorites. However, many cats can easily amuse themselves with the right stocking stuffer. We’ve even thrown a couple of treats on here, too! You’re sure to find something to please your pet.

The 10 Cat Stocking Stuffers

1. Fish & Chews Fish Cat Toy

Hepper fish cat toy

Hepper’s Fish & Chews Fish Cat Toy is an excellent choice because it encourages interaction between you and your pet. Mental stimulation and enrichment are vital for your kitty’s well-being. Playtime is an essential part of pet ownership. We like this toy because it’s so well-made. Many products of this type have flimsy strings that break too easily. It’s also machine-washable.

The rod is 7 inches L, with a 31 to 33.4 inch-string, making it long enough for a serious game of catch. It also has an excellent hand feel. It is a bit spendy, but it’s worth it to us if it lasts.

Pros
  • Well-made
  • Decent size for active play
  • Good hand feel
Cons
  • Spendy

2. Yeowww! Catnip Yellow Banana Cat Toy

Yeowww! Catnip Yellow Banana Cat Toy

The Yeowww! Catnip Yellow Banana Cat Toy is so darn cute. It had to be near the top of our list. It is a cat-safe product down to the dyes the manufacturer uses. It’s also USA-made, which we appreciate. The product is high-quality and made to last. It’s a decent size, making it an excellent choice for large felines. The catnip inside it is potent stuff that will attract most pets.

On the downside, you can’t wash it or refill it. Squeezing it seems to refresh the catnip scent to some degree. You can always sprinkle some loose leaves on the toy if your cat starts to lose interest.

Pros
  • Adorable
  • Good for large cats
  • Pet-safe construction
Cons
  • Can’t refill
  • Not machine-washable

3. Frisco Squirrel Plush Cat Toy with Refillable Catnip

Frisco Squirrel Plush Cat Toy

The Frisco Squirrel Plush Cat Toy with Refillable Catnip solves the issue with usability by making the product refillable. It includes a small vial of the stuff to get the party going. The catnip goes inside the belly, which you can pinch closed. It does a decent job of keeping it inside the toy. However, some catnip falls out.

You can toss it in the wash and let it air dry between uses. The product is well-made to handle this care. The inside pouch doesn’t hold a lot of catnip. However, it’s one way to ensure the stuff inside is at its freshest.

Pros
  • Refillable
  • Cute design
  • Included catnip
Cons
  • Some leakage

4. SmartyKat Flicker Balls Electronic Light Ball Cat Toy

SmartyKat Flicker Balls Electronic Light Ball Cat Toy

The SmartyKat Flicker Balls Electronic Light Ball Cat Toy is the product for you if your kitty is hard on toys. This one can handle the punishment without any issues. The design and material make it appropriate for use in any room, although we prefer to bring them out where they can’t get lost. It doesn’t take a lot to get them flashing and attract your kitty’s attention.

The lights stop relatively quickly if your pet stops playing with them to conserve the battery. Unfortunately, it’s not replaceable, which we guess is a compromise for keeping them child and cat-safe.

Pros
  • Durable design
  • Attention-getting
  • Smooth-rolling action
Cons
  • Unreplaceable batteries

5. KONG Refillable Hummingbird Cat Toy

KONG Refillables Hummingbird Cat Toy

The KONG Refillable Hummingbird Cat Toy is well-made and well-designed, which is just what we’d expect from this manufacturer. They can handle a lot of playtime and be ready for more catnip. The product is a decent size with a generous pouch for a refill. It comes in 10 choices, all equally colorful and cute. Of course, the seller makes them to catch your attention. They vary in price, depending on the design. Some are pricey.

The toys are durable and worth the cost. Some, such as the ladybug, have small parts, making supervision a smart plan with them.

Pros
  • Durable design
  • Refillable
  • 10 choices
Cons
  • Some expensive choices

6. Purina Friskies Party Mix Beachside Crunch Treats

Friskies Party Mix Beachside Crunch Flavor Crunchy Cat Treats

Purina Friskies Party Mix Beachside Crunch Treats are an excellent choice for kitties that like seafood. The medley of tuna, crab, shrimp, and whitefish will please any feline. The size is also right to use them in interactive toys. However, limiting how many you give your pet with their relatively high-calorie count is essential.

The treats are slightly oily, but it’s what you get with fatty fish. Nutritional value is more important for ensuring your pet gets fatty acids.

Pros
  • Highly palatable
  • Convenient size
  • Affordably priced
Cons
  • High in calories

7. Pastel Colored Catnip Infused Felted Balls

Pastel Colored Catnip infused Felted Balls

The Pastel Colored Catnip Infused Felted Balls are adorable and an excellent alternative to toys that make a lot of noise rolling around the floor. The seller offers four options that include a tin and catnip refill. The former is convenient for keeping everything sealed up to prevent spills. The design is right for kittens and adult cats.

While they’re well-made, overzealous felines might make short work of them. They’re also a bit spendy, but they are lovingly crafted, with the seller providing excellent customer service.

Pros
  • Cute design
  • Recharging tin
Cons
  • Easily torn by some cats
  • Expensive

8. Vitakraft PurrSticks

Vitakraft PurrSticks Cat Treats

Vitakraft PurrSticks are a tasty treat for cats that love chicken and salmon. The product is appropriately named since that’s how your kitty will react when you offer one to them. You can give your cat one stick daily. They are segmented so that you can portion them for multiple treats. They are a bit stinky, but that’s not unexpected when dealing with fish.

The sticks are soft and easy to break apart. They are 70% meat without anything unnecessary. They even contain added taurine to boost their nutritional value.

Pros
  • Tasty treat
  • Segmented for easy portion control
  • Soft
Cons
  • Fishy odor

9. Cat Dancer

Cat Dancer Products 101 Interactive Cat Toy

The Cat Dancer couldn’t have a simpler design and entertain a pet so thoroughly. It’s just a metal ring with cardboard pieces that make it function like a wand toy. It’s affordably priced, making expensive products look like a waste of money. This one is cat-safe, with nothing to hurt your pet. We could even see our kitty playing with it on their own.

This toy is a classic that was the original interactive product. The design is spot-on for enticing even the pickiest pet. It has a limited number of paper rolls, but the price is so cheap that it doesn’t matter.

Pros
  • Entertaining
  • Affordably priced
  • Pet-safe
Cons
  • A limited number of paper rolls

10. Frisco Foldable Play Tunnel

Frisco Foldable Play Tunnel with Mesh Cat Toy

The Frisco Foldable Play Tunnel is a fun toy for hiding treats for enrichment. It is lightweight and folds up neatly for storage. The sides are part mesh to ensure airflow and ease shy kitties to explore it. It only measures 33 inches long when fully extended. It’s purr-fect for kittens and adults up to medium size. It’s too snug for larger pets.

The product is relatively durable. However, cats with claws may damage the mesh if playtime gets too heated.

Pros
  • Easy storage
  • Lightweight
  • Small footprint
Cons
  • Too small for large cats

In Conclusion

Sometimes, the best gifts are the little ones. They are just as thoughtful and appreciated by your pets. We like being able to test drive new toys and treats to ensure our cats like them. Of course, it’s always fun if your kitty has more than one gift to unwrap. These stocking stuffers fit the bill with small pleasures that go a long way.
