Material
This bed features a very unique fabric that is meant to emulate lambswool. It has a nice, soft feel and gives the whole bed a cozy look.
On the downside, this material definitely attracts hair, fuzz balls, and other debris. Mine looked clean for all of about five seconds before my pet and kid-filled house had its way with it.
So, in terms of aesthetics, this isn’t the most pristine-looking pet bed out there. The inner materials, which consist of polyester fluff and egg-crate foam are plenty comfy but don’t hold the perfect shape. My bed always looks a little “slumpy” because of this.
I do love the cute stripe pattern and couch design, however. This bed is way more fun than a typical flat, square pet bed.
Comfort
While the quality of this cat bed may not be the best, I only have praise for how comfortable this thing is.
The main cushion is actually made up of two layers. The lower piece consists of sturdy egg crate foam while the upper cushion features a thick polyester fluff pillow. The sides and back also feature comfy pillows.
Of course, my opinion on comfort only matters so much. So I spent most of my review time watching how my pets reacted to the bed.
I bought this couch bed for my cat. He took to it immediately, crawling up onto it and falling asleep within minutes of me putting it together. He would probably still be lying on it right now, weeks later, if my Chihuahua, Papyrus, hadn’t completely taken over this bed for himself.
Papyrus is fourteen years old. But even before achy joints, he was a comfort king. Judging by how he chooses this bed over all others in the house (including mine) tells me just how comfortable and cozy it is!
Durability
This is a fairly lightweight bed with single layers of fabric and standard seams. I wouldn’t imagine it would last long if faced with a chewing puppy, but for a cat, I think it is plenty durable.
The lambswool fabric doesn’t show scratches or blemishes the way faux leather or flat fabric does. And the soft and cushy nature of the bed makes it less prone to tearing.
For a rough and tumble dog or cat, I would stay away from this bed. But for cats just looking for a cozy place to relax, it should meet that need and more for years to come.

For reference, I purchased the large size. It’s big enough for my cat (who weighs 8 pounds) to stretch out on. I think he would have been equally happy with the medium size, which he easily could have curled up on.
If you have a larger-than-average cat, I would definitely spend some time looking at the measurements for this bed. They tend to run smaller than what you would expect based on the size descriptor. That is to say, I was surprised by how compact the “large” size ended up being.
Shipping
Shipping is one area where Funny Fuzzy customers seem to have the most trouble. Many complain of long delivery times and tracking numbers that don’t work.
I ordered two items from Funny Fuzzy and received them fairly quickly, considering it was over the holidays. This bed, which was out of stock in the American warehouse, had to be shipped directly from China. Still, it arrived in less than ten days.
However, the tracking number I received did not update as the package moved along its route.

Our Experience With the Funny Fuzzy Cat Sofa Bed
I purchased the Trendy Striped Faux Lambswool Double Layer Dog & Cat Sofa Bed for my six-month-old kitten, Makoa. This little cuddler is always looking for the comfiest places to bed down. Since my dogs tend to take over the couch and bed, I figured he needed his own place to get comfortable.
I ordered the large-size bed thinking it could double as a dog bed if need be. While it certainly works for my Chihuahua, it ended up being too small for my 30-pound Dalmatian mix. So definitely size up if you are unsure about which option to get for your big kitty.
The bed arrived shrink-wrapped in a vacuum-sealed bag. The cover and multiple cushions were separate. I had to install each of them before I could use the bed.
It was a little misshapen at first but has more or less expanded to the right shape since.
As soon as I put the bed down for Makoa to check out, he was in love. He got onto it immediately and settled down for a nap. He probably would have stayed there all day except that my Chihuahua kicked him off the bed and stole it the second he saw it.
