No One in Colorado Wanted Icee

We recently posted a USA Today article about a sweet tuxedo cat named Icee in Colorado who was rescued and resuscitated after coming very close to dying from exposure in the snow.

Usually, stories like this cause the shelter's switchboard to light up with offers to adopt. This was the case for Icee -- except that no one in Colorado wanted to adopt him. All of the potential adopters were from out of state, some as far away as New York.

The closest was in Arizona, so plans are currently underway to transport Icee from Colorado to the Arizona state line where an Arizona shelter will pick him up and deliver him to a furever home. I'll track the story and let you know where he ends up.
