Nicknames:
Thee-thee, theene, Queen, Mama

Human food, fish, catnip, and her own perch near a slightly open sunny window.

Handmade catnip mouse.

Perched on a cat-tree in the sunlight.

Favorite Food:

Skills:
I just love doing tricks! I can beg, meow, sit, and even come on command. I also like to come to the sound of crying, and I give kisses on and sometimes not on command (mother hates when I sneak up on her at night and kiss her).

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Athena was purchased at a pet store nearby Rochester New York after an exhaustive search to get a kitten. I was looking to replace my lost little boy Solomon. I wanted a male silver tabby, and had tried calling the very scant ads in the paper to find all were gone. We tried going to a rescue but there was a long adoption process and since I had not previously owned a cat myself I didn't have a vet reference. We stopped at another pet store with many cute kittens but they could not allow any to go home for 72 hours until a vet came to give shots. Finally after calling every other pet store in the area we located one with a kitten, but it was a female, reluctantly I decided to go check it out. Well when I got there they let me hold her, and she immediatly began to purr and licked my nose. There was no arguing with that. Athena came home and was named before we got there.

Bio:
Athena is spoiled. She was the first of our cats, and has continued to be my favorite (don't tell her that she has a big enough head). She is exceptionally intelligent, and can sit, beg, come, kiss, and do a host of other things on command, and I really didnt try to train her. She absolutely loves to give kisses, and is easy going and out going. She has become SOLOMON House's Cat Ambassador. Athena suffered when she was younger thru a bout of URI and nearly died to coccidii but she recovered and thankfully is still with us. She is my soul mate and I know we were meant to find each other.

ATHENA IS MISSING

Athena accidently escaped the house on March 9th 2007 - She was on Avalon Creek Way in Mckinney TX when she escaped. She has not been seen or heard from since despite leaving cat traps, food, and repeated searches.

If you see Athena or know her whereabouts there is a large reward. At this point if Athena is adjusted into a new home, I am willing to accept that but I would at least like to have the closure and to see her.

My eldest daughter has returned!

She disappeared very early Thursday morning, I watched her packing up. I saw Fenix try to sneak into her packing to go as well, but he was caught, I overheard the word car mentioned otherwise I might have tried that tactic. I knew she had to come home though, she left me! She wouldn't leave forever without me!

She used to do the packing and going thing alot but not this year, this is the very first time this year. She told me when she came back it was to see our new house, but when she came home she seemed very out of it, I thin the evil car sapped all of her energy. She said something about 'driving 8 hours' whatever that means! She fell asleep very quickly but in the morning time she snuggled and told me all about the new place! I love it when she tells me everything about what she did, alot more then going. =^.^=

Not Again

Excitement is building in the home, I am not sure whats going on but I know that we are all going somewhere very soon. I am apprehensive though, I hope there are no cars involved, I do hate to travel in cars, I get all stressed out. But my oldest daughter says that where we are going is a lot better then here, I wonder if we are going to stay there? I wonder where it is! I hope it is indoors I don't want to get wet, ew!
