Arrival Story:
We lived in Indiana for 4.5 years. We were about to move to Pennsylvania. It was January and very cold. This beautiful black/white cat came to our door. We fed him and he stuck around. He had a piece missing from his ear and a large scratch on his nose. We took him to the vet and he was given all his shots. We then brought him to PA with us and had him neutered. He was the best cat anyone could ever want. Even non-cat lovers seemed to love Kibbles. He would even rub his nose against your nose to give you kisses. We were blessed that he picked us.

Bio:
Yestrday on we picked up his ashes. Kibbles had to be put down after he ate some of the recalled food (before it was recalled) Both him and his kitty sister were affected. But since he ate more of the food he became very ill. It all happened so fast. We noticed on saturday that he was meowing a lot and lost his balance once late at night. Then in the middle of the night my son woke me up saying that something was wrong with kibbles. He seemed blind and fell down a few steps. My heart sank because I knew that it was from the food. Sunday our regular vet was closed so we called the on-call vet that pretty much dismissed our claims. By the time Monday morning came around Kibbles couldn't even stand up. He urinated all over the pillow that he was sleeping on that night. We got him to the vet and they took blood which showed that he was in kidney failure. Some of the values were up to 6 times the normal levels. Kibbles had ulcers in his mouth (his tongue was one big ulcer) from the kidney failure. He was very dehydrated. We had to make the most difficult decision. He didn';t have a chance. My sweet boy went to Heaven on March 26, 2007 at 11:30 am. We miss him dearly. My 9 year old had cried and cried. GiGi just wanders around looking for her best friend. My cat died because a company didn't do their job correctly. Shame on them. Kibbles suffered horribly and didn't deserve that.
