Some of my good friends have been directed to this page today to witness a cat hoarder that gives new meaning to the term.
Here she is, caught in the act. As you can see we are not talking about a cat hoarder as it pertains to an individual that hoards cats. No, in this case, the individual IS the cat, and as you can see by the evidence before you, she is in fact participating in the very act of hoarding. Her forte is Beanie Babies. This thieving little cat burglar was apprehended today and the Beanie Babies have been returned to their respective toy bins in the rooms of the girls to whom they belong.

A new friend writes me today and says:
you are gorgeous! I love torties.
thanks for saving this beautiful cat!
Of course this got my attention. What a wonderful compliment!
So I wrote back :
Well, thank you! I'm flattered. My guardian really had no choice. It was winter and I had no home, and I didn't mind all the kids. Besides, as you pointed out, gorgeous as I am, how could she say no? Yeah, I'm pretty pampered here, even though I have to pull my weight...There's four little girls' beds I have to divide my time for napping on, all the constant grooming to stay gorgeous, there are balls I have to chase to keep myself looking svelt, I must follow my guardian round the garden to see that she maintains it to my liking, and I always remind her to fill the bird feeder, as bird watching is a pastime we share. She pretty much works me round the clock. My two most important jobs are to race down the stairs every morning to greet my guardian in the kitchen and accompany her during the all important "coffee ritual" this often precludes a quiet stroll through the garden before the kids wake up where we check over the many plants and flowers for , who knows what, but surely something dreadful, like spider mites or aphids. Why just the other day, I single-handedly chased a garden snake directly toward my guardian just to show her what I had found! I am such a good kitty...and this is why I do it all...capital C.R.E.A.M.! I know that when I smell coffee brewing in the morning, and I am there for all the action, I get a tasty serving of cream all for myself...it's heaven in my very own bowl!!!

Greetings, fellow Catsters!
I wish to personally thank you for the friendly reception on this site. I am glad to see it coming along as nicely as Dogster has. I will correspond primarily on Catster from here on out, with only very few exceptions.
It pains me to report this, but sadly, Duke has gone missing. He disappeared from my parents-in-law's 4 acre property, while they were dog-sitting for us, nearly eight months ago. I fear the worst, as he was microchipped, and his whereabouts have not been reported, despite our efforts to locate him. I should probably post something to this effect on Duke's page. I mostly correspond on Catster these days, as I have nothing funny or cute or silly, or serious to post on Dukester's Dogster page. I am glad his page is still there with photos from his puppy days, to look back and fondly remember the impact he had on our family. In a few ways he was the worst dog in the world and in some very great ways he was the best dog in the world. He taught us a lot and we all miss him. I don't think I ever want another dog again, as terrific as I think they are with their special brand of sillyness, playfulness, mischief and unconditional affection that only a dog can give. To repeat this kind of loss would break my heart .
So without looking back anymore, I am happy to "Catster on" and we are lucky that Isadora has come along. She brings us a different brand of joy, and she teaches us all the time with her patience, and her gentle ways, to tread softly, and to not talk so loudly that others are disturbed or not heard, to be patient with one another, so that others are patient with us, and to show kindness to others so that it may be returned to us...It's amazing how that works! Lessons about life can be found in all things around us, and sometimes I feel like animals are here just to show us how to behave like better human beings!
