Yesterday morning Mom came in to the kitchen to find a flood on the floor and several of us playing in the water. At first she didn't realize why the floor was wet and she wondered if she should A)Build a boat B) Get a mop and/or C) Call the plumber.
It turns out; it really wasn't THAT much water. Mom has a soft heart and will leave a container of water outside for the neighborhood strays. It has been very cold, so overnight she brings the container in, puts a lid on it and sits it on the radiator to thaw because it is usually frozen. Our birdbath also has a heater and the cats will also drink from there. So, I wont name names, but someone knocked the container off the radiator, pried off the lid and chewed little holes in the bottom of the container. It was fun; there was water over half of the kitchen floor! Most of us like running water; we have a fountain, we love sinks, and will often splash around in the tub. Mom didn't plan on mopping the kitchen floor yesterday; but thanks to us, its now half clean!
