Thank you everyone for remembering my Gotcha Day!

I really can't believe it has been 7 years that I have been
with my family. Time flies by so fast.

I am still very active and love to play. I definitely still hold
the record for the highest jump to grab a toy.

My Gotcha Day!

I have been with my family for 3 years. Wow, where does the time go?

I am still very kitten like in my ways. Always looking for fun and something to mess with. Most of the time it is with my brofurs and sisfurs. They don’t always appreciate that.

My Mom always thinks of how different my life would be if I wasn’t discovered on that cold November day. I was the last hold out of the feral litter that was trapped. I kept hiding each time someone would come by to make sure there were no kittens left.

I am one of the lucky ones. Please say a purrayer for all the homeless kitties. In that they all become success stories. That would be the best Gotcha Day present ever!!

Trip to the Vet..Finally

My diary entries from the past few years have told you of my cunning and avoidance of not going to the vets.

Mom became very upset with Dad that he let my sweet face and big scared eyes make him think that I should not be put through the torture of going like everyone else. The last time he tried, there was blood shed..and it wasn't mine.

Friday night Mom got me to follow her into Dad's room that they have turned into a big closet. There is no where for me to hide and she could get to me easily. She tricked me with toy mice to get me to go in there and closed the door and left me there all night. The nerve of her...hmmmph...

I went to sleep in the warm kitty bed and when she came into see me, I purred and purred. Being alone in the room actually calmed me down. Not much calms me down.

In the morning she came back and scooped me up and told me that I was such a good girl. She hugged me and the next thing I knew, I was getting a blanket thrown over my head... I got a little squirmy. But then she had me in the carrier already and they locked the door.. I was tricked..totally fooled.

I let out a huge cry. But that was it. I only said a few things at the vets when talking to the other little black kitty that apparently was tricked, just like me.

Mom here...

Xena was a good girl. She cried a bit when I closed her in the room. But she really calmed down fast. It is funny how when she is alone, her anxiety and nevousness is lessened considerably. The other cats bring out the crazies.

She was calm...although nervous at the vet. She may have a little heart murmur. But it diminished when the vet pushed on her eyes. She made a note.

I really thought they would need the hawk gloves to restrain her. But she just sat there on the table and when they were done, she walked right back into the carrier on her own.

The vet said that we certainly have the difficult part.

Isn't that the truth !

Vet Appointment Update

Another appointment, another stand in.

Dad tried to get me in the carrier twice. He did not use gloves or have a shirt on..OUCH!!

He must be mad to think I would not fight my hardest to get away.

Let's just say there was scratching, swearing, and blood.
Only the scratching came from me.

The lucky winner for this appointment was Pinkie.

She could care less about the ride, the poking and prodding, and the bonus gift...a rabies shot.

Not sure when they will try again.

Mom is getting pretty impatient with my lack of cooperation.

My Turn - Vet Visit - Round 3

The last diary I posted was about how I got out of going to the vets.

That was quite a while ago and Mom said enough is enough. Saturday is the day. 8:00 am because that is when I am hungry and I easily let Dad pick me up and bring me downstairs.

Dad whines that I will be afraid and upset with him.

And yes, although I will be very unhappy, I must get a check up and my shots.

I am still not going to appreciate it and will certainly hold it against someone.

This time I heard her tell Dad that she will not try to be the hero and get me in the carrier all by herself.

We will see...Tee Hee...

Round 2 – Vet visit

So today was my turn to go to the vets for my shots and exam. Mom was much too confident that she could do this alone and tried to get me in the carrier without help from Dad.

I am still quite the scaredy cat and when she had me in, she didn’t get it zipped fast enough. Out I jumped. I gave her another shot at getting me in. She messed that one up too. I then hid in back of the sofa and I was not going today.

She called our vet and told them that she would have to find a substitute. Who also needed to come to see Dr. Joe? I sat and laughed as she decided Nonny was drawing the short straw.

Dad went upstairs and grabbed her. Before she knew what was going on she was out the door. teee heeee

On a serious note. Our family is thinking of all the families affected by the tragedy that occurred in our country 9 years ago today, September 11, 2001. Our thoughts and prayers are with you on this tragic day. We also are thinking of all the service men and women and their families. Especially those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We appreciate all that you do for our country to protect us and keep us safe.

Meowy Christmas

So this tree inside the house is pretty fun. It has sparkling lights, toys dangling, and taste kinda good.

I like to slide across the blanket underneath. Mom says it is called a tree skirt. tree skirt tree smirt....all I know is it helps me scare the bageebees out of everyone.

I am new to this Christmas thing. I was born outside. So trees aren't anything new to me. But all the fun stuff hanging off it, is something I need to get use to.

Fluff says that the fun tree isn't all there is. We will get some presents
to play with. I'd be happy with a few of the shiny balls at the top...

I will do my best to make Wriggley proud this Christmas. It is the first without her for Mommy and Daddy, and I know they miss her antics with the toys and tree. We love you sweet girl.

I hope that all my furrends and their furamilys a wonderful and safe holiday season.

Mommy and Daddy are coming home tomorrow from their
vacation. I think I miss them. I actually think I forgot who they are...

Grandma and Grandpa are going to tell them I wasn't a real good girl.

I have been playing the bee game all week. No takers

What is really funny is that Mommy really had a bee chasing her bum and it stung her a couple of times.

It must of got under her bathing suit cover up and tried to chase her.

Hmmm, she didn't want to play that game either.

Who's zoomin' who ?

It is about that time of the night..every night, when I start zoomin around the house. Mom says it is like I have a bee chasing my bum and I am trying to get away.

My furamily starts to disappear as I try to get them to join me.

I can't find any willing participants so I am left to pounce on
their heads as they innocently stand by and watch me run from
the bee...
