OK my friends here goes!
The radiologist reviewed my x ray taken when I went to the vet last...she says my heart is on the high side of being normal...whatever that means! my heart is just fine!!!!!
So my Vet and the radiologist think it would be best if I go to a cardiologist to have an echocardiogram...too many big words for me to understand...Dr Kathy told Mom it is a non invasive procedure, well now I think it is going to be invasive what are they talking about, they are looking inside me that is invasive I say.
Because I am getting fluids for my CRF they want to make sure my heart is not being compromised in any way, they may have to change the amount or times I get my fluids...
Mom will have to call my insurance to see what to do about going to a specialist and how much if any they will pay, then she will call to make my appointment.
Mom is stressing now, she worries about me even though I am doing good and showing no signs of heart problems...she says what is next...and here we go again Xena...she worries about me stressing too when I have to go to a vets office and now to a specialist and who knows what they will be doing...
Well I gotta go I am going to a chocolate party, Mom says I have to take it easy on the chocolate and to not over do it..
We will let you know what is happening once Mom knows!!!
hugs and headbonks to you all
PS: Mom forgot to tell all of you the best news of all: there are no signs of any masses in my body, I am truly mass/cancer free....
Xena, headbonks to you and your Mom, try not to stress, it sounds like preventative measures to ensure no further damage is being done.....go and enjoy your chocolate party.....but easy on the chocolate.....you don't want to ruin your girlish figure .....
hugs and kisses
Oh sweet Xena, please don't worry about what the future might bring, just have faith in God, the Angels and I will purray for you too, I know what your momcat is going through mine is the same way, they worry only because they love us so much that's why when I became an Angel I come back to visit her and dadcat just to let them know I am fine and to put my sisfurs in their place MOL! So go enjoy yourself and at the chocolate pawty, QT is right here beside me shaking her head and telling me that's right, we love you sweetheart,
Hugs From Heaven
Angel Sir Sonny Bono ♥
Thank you Harley and Sonny for your comforting words...I know Mom worries so and I can't help but get stressed...I really really hate going anywhere and afterwards all I want to do it hide, Mom says I have changed a little after my surgery so she thinks the stress really affects me.
We are glad my Vet wants to be careful and make sure I am OK and that my heart won't get worse, so we are happy about that...
Don't worry I won't eat too much chocolate I do so want to keep my girlie figure...Hi Tallulah thanks for being here for me and I know you are always with us...we miss you so....
Purrs and prayers for you and your mm I never wanted to go anywhere either and I stressed badly at vet visits. We are furry glad you seem be feeling well and not showing any signs of heart problems or discomfort.
Sending purrs to you pretty girl.
Minko & I will purr that you will not have to go to these vet dudes furry often...too bad that you don't have a vet that makes house calls like Gump has...
Hang in there all of you, but esp you and Mom!
The echocardiogram is just an ultrasound of the heart, all you need to know is that the gel they use is a tad cold ;).
Thats super good news that there are no masses to be seen on the xrays. Insurance should cover ultrasound, we work at an emergency clinic and they cover all that kind of stuff, but the difference is that we have it all right here in the clinic.
Sending big purrs from all of us over here, hoping that everything is well.
Thank you Simon & Tony for the information, I sure hope that gel isn't too cold, I like being warm...I have an appointment on Thursday at noon at the UC Davis...we sure hope I am OK, my Vet thinks I am...
Thank you Skids Kitty, Pipo, Callie for your purrs, we will let you know all about it after I get home.
hugs to all
I'm glad the x-ray looked good for your heart. I had an echocardiogram done last summer and it wasn't too bad. I didn't enjoy being held on that table, but it was painless. The cardiologist let Mom in to observe and he even let her take a photo which I have in my photobook. It was pretty easy (except for Mom having to pay for it). I am purring that it goes well for you and that your heart is healthy other than a mild murmur. Mom is also always worrying about me, so we understand.
Purrs for you sweet girl...
