Since the last update, been doing very well! My sisters and my parents have nursed and loved me back to health. We're all very humbled and happy by the experience. Also very moved by the little gifts and greetings I've received here. Thank you!

I'm feeling really good these days! If I'm not playing with my two sisters, I'm snuggled up to my mom! I love spending time chasing my favorite ribbon toy when my dad throws it!

My family & I are incredibly grateful for this community. Thank you!

Well I'm having too much fun taking in some sun and watching the birds fly by; smelling the crisp Fall breeze, which explains my not really 'blogging'. =^..^=

Mama and Papa are continuing to give me the antibiotic (there had been two, but I finished the other one-- that icky chewy tablet one UHG! Thank goodness that antibiotic is history, man! So now I only have to take the more tolerable liquid one.

I'm going to go conversate with my two sisters-- one of them is really freaked and nervous about my condition so I'm going to try to set her at ease.

Mama and Papa are much more into the "blogging" thing so I'll point you to the family blog, where they're posting all their findings on Feline Lymphoma and also regularly updating the blog with this experience:

To all those who have sent wellwishes, thanks dood!

With lots of purrs, Red.

Then the sun came up again......

Today I woke up rather bright-eyed; mama and papa were still zonked out. I felt a little hungry so I started to purr loudly. Soon the whole family was waking up from my amazing purring abilities!

I took the anti-biotics and medicine with no trouble; my goodness though it's just about the worst thing that's ever crossed these taste buds. Uhg.

Most of the day mama and papa spent researching this crappy thing called "Feline Lymphoma". I mostly slept; checking in from time to time to make sure they've covered a lot of ground in the research. =^..^=

While papa continued with the research, mama set up our family online research page for Feline Lymphoma, where we will collect all the data we can in order to make the most informed decision possible. The link to that page, btw is: ma-research-page/

The big question right now is whether or not to pursue chemo-therapy.... If anyone reading this has some experiences/advice to share please don't hesitate.

Later on, papa and mama had a glazed over look in their eyes. Mama put on some Christmas music and papa whipped out the Christmas lights. Mama read my mind and let us watch The Sound of Music (woohooooo!) while she started on the Christmas greeting list and papa moved our three-tiered cat-scratcher (aka Ze Condo, dude) where it's now much easier for me or my two sisters to jump off of it onto the couch; not-to-mention the view of the neighboring trees is awesome!

After dinner, mama was afraid I might be in pain so she gently cuddled me in my favorite blue teddybear blankie. We cat-napped for a while then I was awakened by what I thought was her giggleing, but on closer inspection her eyes and cheeks were filled with tears. I cuddled my nose close to her and reassured her.

Later on papa tried to give me a treat, but I just wasn't gonna have it; the belly closed up. Hopefully I'll be hungry by the time they have to feed me the anti-biotic and medicine. (crossing my paws!)

Today, everything changed forever....

Well, if it's not one thing it's something else-- as the old saying goes.....

We just got home from the hospital. I noticed that on the way home, my mommy was not acting normal; she looked like she was trying to hold something in.... then I gave her two pecks on her nose and right then she cuddled me even tighter and she started to cry.... A LOT. When I employed my telepathic powers, I could read that she was remembering the day they adopted me-- ten years ago.

I'd been quite under-the-weather for a few days. When I didn't eat for about a day, pops and momz took me to the Emergency care center. They performed an emergency intestinal surgery then and there, given the prognosis. They did a biopsy of my intestine; the rest of the week I've spent recovering (2 days in the ER and also at my vet intensive care; 3 days at home.) The good news: I get to eat turkey baby food: YUMMI; the bad news: they have to mix in the medicine in it: YUKKI!

So fast-forward to today, Dec. 6, 2008 at around 12:15pm... and my mommy's (and daddy's) tears..... Our family recieved the results of the biopsy, which is Feline Lymphoma.

Good grief.

Well, I'm bummed out about this, as you might imagine. My parents are trying to be strong but it's clear to see that this has hit them quite hard. I've also noticed a very worried look on my sisters faces; droopy whiskers and all: May: and Sol:

I want to thank my family for lighting so many candles for me-- not to mention this spiffy virtual candle here: &cid=7298449

Since it's a 48 hour candle, mama took a handy screen shot and uploaded here so I can look at it whenever I'd like; the IRL candles she lights every night though. =^..^=

Mama, Papa, May, Sol-- be strong and I will be too.

With love and some grumpy-pants Mrrreows,
