Hello Kitties! I ran into Teddy's Mom and she said that he is doing wonderful at his new home. He has a sister bengal cat and a dog that he's running around the house playing with. And as to her son's allergies: nada! Apparently he can kiss, cuddle, and even sleep in the same bed as Teddy, and not get an allergy attack! So he's fitting in and doing great. Yayy, Teddy!

I'm pleased to announce that Berg, the temperary foster kitten already has a home! He'll be heading home tuesday to a wonderful forever home. They apparently visited and interviewed many of our rescue group's fosters as well as other cats in other groups... And in all their travels; little purring Berg stood out as the one and only cat for them! So congratulations Berg, I won't be home in time to see you off (Foster Dad is there, though.) but have a very Happy New Year! Purrs!

We are officially without a foster cat here for a little while. Berg went back to his original foster humans for a little while here (Until they go out of town). I'm cleaning out their room today and it is sure quiet and strange without Teddy in there!

Update On Teddy: ADOPTED!

After a very long day at Petco, followed by a full evening at Barns & Noble: our fearless president Teddy retired from public office and found himself a forever home! He started the morning on a bad note. Within an hour of going to Petco, he met and seduced a couple and their young child with his headbutting, purring , and his all out loving approach to all new humans he meets. They were filling out their adoption form and calling their landlord to tell him they were adopting Teddy, when the President did something I'd never seen him do: he reached over and clawed their child in the face! It was a deffinate: I am not going home with YOU! That was amazing. I really thought Teddy had blown his only chance at a home for the day... I was wrong!

One particular woman kept coming over to see him at Petco, then showed up at Barns & Noble with her husband to meet Teddy. They were the first humans all day to walk up to Teddy, pick him up, and know instinctively how he likes to be held! Teddy just looked at them and you knew he'd made a decision. They have been living with bengal cats for years, and recently lost one of their two spoiled rotten cats. She said they even missed their cat's loud howls around the house... Teddy is quite the talker! As chatting went on, she seemed to be describing Teddy and all his bengal habits. It was a perfect match.

The only thing left is for Teddy to meet her son, who has allergies. (And is the reason they started living with bengals in the first place.) So fingers crossed! Teddy has found a wonderful forever home. Let's hope he can keep it.

ps-- Berg is now staying with us for a few days; then again over Christmas. No need to worry about him getting along with Teddy now! (We hope!) He's a bit shy, so I'm trying not to accost him with the camera too much.

President Teddy's State of the Union Address: I Have a- Roommate!

Hello to my fellow citizens of Catster! (And hello to our foreign dignitaries of the internet land!) I, your president Teddy, am here to announce that I have taken in a roommate for the holiday season. His name is Berg, and he's a nice little gray tux chap. Pretty young feller, but we're getting along pretty good so far. It seems he was foster-living with humans that were leaving town for the holidays. And seeings how I'm so diplomatic and agreeable; I was elected to live with him! I do not foresee a long and drawn out affair of sitting in the sun grooming one another's tails and such; but we are managing in these rough times to share my little room.

But today we are both off to Petco to aide Santa Claus; followed by an appearance at Barn & Noble's gift wrapping table in the Duluth Mariner Mall. So feel free to stop by for an autograph, photo with me or Santa, or just to voice off with your president. Thank you.

President Teddy's State of the Union Address: Dinner Found &- Petco Appearance!

Wow! Yesterday I not only got to nap on the humans' bed; but Minister Foster Lady forgot to put me upstairs when she fed Capt. Morgan and Moose dinner! (Sparkman usually opts out apparently. Too full of napkins and socks?) So she puts out a third plate of food anyways, just in case he's hungry. I didn't know that was for him; I just saw a plate of food next to Moose and Captain and I ran right over there! The President likes wet food! And what's more: it felt like I totally belonged here for a while.

Then today I got a special report from my Critter Harbor Aide Staff: I will be making an appearance at Petco in Hermantown, MN tomorrow. Santa and elves will be on staff to take photos of Santa with pets. So come on over and have a real meeting with the President! Bully I say!

President Teddy's State of the Union Address: Time To- Inspect The Canals, Mr. President!

My Minister Foster Humans have decided that my little room is Washington D.C. and that the basement is Panama. I think mostly they decided all this so that when I'm picking a fight with my foster feline companions, they can say "Washington's paging you, Mr. President!" And then off they carry me to my little room. At other times they shout, "Time to inspect the canals, Mr. President!" And off they send me to the basement to explore the jungles of boxes and washing machine. Minister Foster Mom called the porch "South Dakota" once or twice, but I think that's a far stretch... I think she's batty.

The one thing that I have yet to understand is why "Washington" is covered in a pirate mural? Do my goofy Ministers of Fostering really think that Washington D.C. is filled with pirates and scallywags?! As a reformer of this here government, I'm forced to agree. But still, seems daffy.

I had a visitor yesterday. The human seemed interested in my glorious coloration and dominating presence. Too bad the human hasn't called again today to inquire on me traveling to a new home. Oh, well. I'm having more fun in Washington and Panama anyways. Charge!!!!

President Teddy's State of the Union Address: Peace- Negotiations.

I am hard at work trying to make peace with the three cats that live in this house. It started with Foster Minister Dad Human taking me around downstairs a few days ago for a sniff and greet of each of the permanent residents of this foreign land I find myself in. It felt at first like my trip to Africa; there was a water buffalo like gray cat; a sleek and dark running ibek; and a fuzzy, shy cowardly lion. But I greeted each with big purrs and even tried to rub noses with the black and white cat. But they were all less interested in meeting me. Growls and hisses the whole lot of them!

But today, Foster Minister Mom Human said that two of the cats were exploring the basement; the other was exploring the glassed in porch. Even Foster Human Dad Human was out of the house. So she let me explore the rest of the house on my own! Mostly I just wanted to let her know how happy I was to be our and about. So as she fixed dinner, I just ran around her legs; head butting , nose kissing, and rubbing along her pant legs. I purred at the top of my lungs and when she seemed to be distracted by onions or garlic; I gave her a loud yelp-chirp to get her attention.

I sure hope I can convince these three cats to let me hang out with them. And that I can convince these humans that they really need a fourth cat. But then again, you never know what the next adoption event will be like! I still have my paws crossed that that perfect human comes along... One less distracted by onions, garlic, and three other cats.

President Teddy's State of the Union Address: CHARGE!!!

I am pleased and excited to be here with my fellow Catsterians! It's truly a glorious room I'm occupying, and my plans include peaceful take over of the rest of this abode. Charge!!! But first it seems I must get out the door and past this big gray cat who likes to hiss at me. Hrmmm... Should I use my superb diplomacy skills and bring about peace like I did with those Russians and Japanese?! Or should I just use my cunning and guile to create a civil war and then plow through the jungle in a big trench?! Bully, I say!

No, for the moment I'm too busy purring and trying to meow my foster humans in here for more pets. It seems I'm completely and entirely addicted to human pets and ear scratches. It is quite difficult being this loving and dear all the time. Such is the life of a Teddy. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!
