HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAM!!

I'm sorry I picked on Cam this morning! I forgot it was her birthday! I'll be good for the rest of her special day. I won't provoke her nor steal her food nor pee in her litterbox! That's saying a lot for me! She's right. Us young ones should respect our elders! I'll give her the rest of today as sanctuary from my pesky butt!

NO REPLACEMENT BUNNY YET, ETC.

Well, it's been about a week since I wrote about my bunny buddy going to the Bridge. There have been no more bunnies hanging around our yard nor the yard next door.

Anyway, I've been watching a lot of birds and squirrels (there's always plenty of them around here). Those bunnies usually hang around the top of the hill portion of our neighborhood. Mommy's seen them at the top of the hill before.

Anyway, the birds start chirping at 5:00 p.m. and reach a crescendo at 6:00 p.m. I love listening to them sing!

Speaking of birds, Mommy's neighbor has a new pet bird. A lady where he works found it in the office parking lot. He took the bird home and keeps him/her in a covered shoe box with holes in it. He thinks it's a robin, and Mommy thinks it may be a bluejay as a few of the feathers on the top of it's head are slightly blue. Anyway, Mommy said the bird's name is "Fred". Can you believe that!

I'M SAD

I'm sad because my little bunny friend has made his journey to the Bridge. This bunny used to hang out in our backyard between 7:00 p.m. and dark on warmer days. I remember chasing him from window to window and enjoyed doing so.

The last warm day we had around here, Mommy and I saw him grazing in the middle of our backyard. That was the last time we had seen him.

A day later, Mommy told me my friend had made his journey to the Bridge because somebody wasn't careful when they drove by during the night. The rest is too sad . . .

Rest in peace, my little friend,and my nightly window-watching entertainment. I'll miss you so much! :(

On a better note, I'm doing okay and playing with Sampy, as usual.

It's raining right now and will be doing so all day long. April showers bring May flowers, so they say.

I know, I'm not too original with that one. Anyway, I wish my fav bro a very pawsome birthday. I started out wishing him a great day with a vigorous wrestling match. Maybe I was wrong in doing that as he got hissed off. Mommy said many people and cats want positive attention on their birthdays and not negative attention such as fights. Sooooo, I'll be nice to Sampy and give him kisses for the rest of the day, unless he changes his mind.

LITTLE GREEN MEN

I'm seeing little green men all over the front page of Catster and I want to chase them! I asked Mommy and my sibs if they saw them too, and they all said "yes". They're really there and it's not a mass hallucination!

I'm glad of that, for sure!!

Since today's going to be in the low to mid 70's, we're going to enjoy a couple open windows. I'm going to love every minute of it before it gets cold again tomorrow into the nasty 50's. I guess that's why they they call it spring because the temperatures spring back and forth from cold to hot and back again. The temps during this season aren't stable.

Anyway, I got to run as it's breakfast time. I can't miss the most important meal of the day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BAIL!!

Happy 6th birthday Bail!!! Woo-Hoo. You're getting to be an old man. Just joking!!

To show him my love, I nuzzled next to him on the master bedroom bed and laid my head on his soft, floofy tummy. He makes a great pillow, that Bail!! He stayed there and let me do this without any fuss either. That's what you call a pawsome brother!

Anyway, we had our dinner, played a few games and are ready for a nap. Goodnight all.

I WASN'T TOO SCARED TODAY & CONCATS, BAIL!

First of all I concat Bail on his DDP today! WOO-HOO!

Secondly, all that ruckus (sp?) about the duct/furnace cleaning guys being here, didn't bother me too much at least when they first went into the cellar. He-he-he! Sampy and I followed them down there while they started to hook up this big black hose. Of course, Mommy grabbed Sampy first and took him upstairs and put him in the computer room. Then she came back for me and put me in with Sampy. A few minutes later, she put Cam in with us. Cam didn't like that one bit. Also, Merl and Bail had gone in there on their own.

All in all, Sampy and I ended up being put back into the master bedroom after they were done with that, the bathroom and litterbox room. The man proceeded to do the computer room and apparently, Merl, Bail and Cam were still in there under the bed. When the guy turned on the blowing hose to the vents, the three of them ran downstairs.

Afterwards, Mommy left the computer room door open in case Merl, Bail and Cam needed safe sanctuary (which they did) while the guy did the downstairs. Merl went under the bed and Bail crawled under the covers of the bed. He must have been really scared to have managed to crawl under the covers of an already made bed. Lastly, Cam cannot be located. I think she's under the red couch as that's her safe sanctuary when Mommy uses the vacuum cleaner.

Well, that's the scary adventure for this morning. Sure it wasn't pleasant and at the same time, I didn't freak out as much as the others nor did Sampy. Of the household, he and I are the "Los Bravos" kitties. As you know, Merl is terrified of anybody who comes in the house other than Mommy. He even growls when a strange car pulls up in front of our house.

Oh, well. The rest of this weekend will be quite. Mommy told us so.

KITTY BURRITO

Mommy had to make me into a kitty burrito (wrap me in a throw with only my head sticking out) as I'm in the pink now. What I mean is, I caught the dreaded "pink eye" from Sampy.

Sampy's right eye is fine now and my left eye is runny and pink. Since there was a bunch of ointment left over, Mommy applied it to my left eye and before she could do it, I had to become a kitty burrito. I'm a squirmer and kicker whenever I'm held and I've been known to deliver some mean scratches.

I'm glad that's over with for now. She says she's going to apply the stuff again tonight and again twice a day for 10 days. YIKES! Can I stand this that long???

BUMMER!!!!

Anyway, I'm going to take a nap now. That whole ordeal with being a burrito and getting that gunk in my eye tired me out.

FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!

Can you believe today is the first day of spring?? I can't as it's cold again. Friday should have been the first day of spring as it was a lovely 75 degrees and Mommy let us have TWO open windows upstairs! Believe me all of us loved it!!!

Yesterday was better than today will be, but still it was a NO open windows day.

The honeysuckle bush buds have popped open and are a pretty light green! The neighbors daffodils are all bloomed! As to the oak trees, nothing yet. I think those are the last to bloom around here. The redbud has dark red buds and won't open until early April.

Lastly, Friday night Mommy bought us kitties an early Easter present. It was a scratching curl which she got for a bargain at Petsmart. It's usually around $30.00. She got it on sale for only $23.00!!! Anyway, I was the first to try it out. I LIKE IT LOTS!!! Thanks, Mommy!

Anyway, I had my breakfast and will curl up with Sampy for a late morning nap. I love cuddling with him as he's my fav bro!!

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

This "so-called" daylight savings time is confusing us kitties. When the alarm went went off this morning, we were still sleeping in a circle at Mommy's feet. We thought it was 5:00 a.m. and Mommy had to get up early for some reason. She assured us it was really 6:00 a.m. because of something called, "daylight savings time". She also didn't feel like getting up either and of course she did so as she had to go work regardless of it being pitch black out there.

Also, when she got home it was light outside. The sun was shining brightly, and we though Mommy got off work early, Again, she assured us that it was daylight savings time and it will be like this until some time in October.

Well, it's nice at night I agree, but still dark at our wake up at 6:00 a.m. will take a lot of getting used to.

Well, that's about it for now. I'm hungry and will be eating dinner by sunlight instead of lightbulb light.
