Hmph.
Well, I was having a wonderful sleep under Jem's bed, when I was very rudely awoken by a tomcat yelling for someone to let him in. Naturally I was curious, so I made my way to the front door where I found Jem with her ear pressed to the door, apparently under the impression that she'd gone mad and was hearing things. I could hear him quite clearly, but the humans don't seem to catch half of the noises I do. Anyways, we heard some more yowling, but Jem couldn't see anything through the peephole, so we both peeked under the door, and what did we see but four black paws!
Jem, who wanted to know just who this fellow was, opened the door a crack and poked her head out. That owner of mine seems eternally charmed by strange cats, so she petted him and inquired as to the where-abouts of his owner. Apparently, he had been locked out of the building by his owner, and was having a bit of trouble finding the right door. At this point I wanted him to leave, because the last black tomcat I met was that slimy menace Joe, but then the humans let him into my apartment! I didn't like that one bit, and directed some very forceful hisses at him, giving him a good scare. He left a few minutes later when Jem's mother walked him up to his floor, but he had far overstayed his welcome in my eyes. I do not understand why Jem found the whole thing amusing, and he certainly isn't my "new little friend".

So, seeing as Jem has her own blog, I thought it only fair that I get my Catster diary up and running. At the very least, this diary will be proof of what happened if that murderous little tidbit Donna assassinates me.
Now, what to write about? .... Well, only two days ago, I learned that Jem's mother had left the screen door to the balcony open, providing an excellent opportunity for me to escape and explore the new neighborhood. Jem was terribly upset about this, but unfortunately, I had been asleep under her bed the whole time. I did get an extra treat out of it, though.
Well, that's it for now, perhaps in my next entry I will write about what moving was like.
