Arrival Story:
Despite being the most beautiful cat in the world (my mommy says so and she speaks the truth), I was passed around from owner to owner until that last guy dumped me off in the slammer...er, I mean the local animal shelter. I sat in the joint for three weeks competing for human attention with the likes of doe-eyed little kittens before my new mommy came and rescued me. Thank Cat she did, because those people were treating me like an ANIMAL...oh wait, nevermind. But just you try sleeping in a cage and living off Purina Cat Chow; trust me, you wouldn't last a day! Now I'm living the high life. My new pawrents do everything for me, feed me the best food, play with me all the time, and are always bringing me home new treats and toys. I'm a modern-day Annie, I tells ya - but way cuter and with way more cattitude.

I'm almost done with this medicine business!

September 15th 2008 7:45 pm   [link to this entry]

Thank CAT I am almost done with this crazy griseofulvin medicine business. I don't know who that pharmacy thinks their kidding, not all kitties like the taste of peanut butter! Not to mention daddy is a very bad shot, and has squirted that stuff all over my face rather than in my mouth where mommy says it belongs. It is making me all better though! My hair is growing back on my ear, and I am just as happy as can be. I am eating so good and my coat is looking so shiny and full! I am almost 100% healthy, it is SOOOOOO great! When I get all better my Aunt Caitlin is going to bring her new kitty, Beau Beau over so that we can meet each other and play. I am so excited to have a new friend since mommy thinks I get so lonely sometimes. She said that once she finds a breeder that she really really likes, she is going to get a kitten for me to be best friends and roommates with! Oh boy am I excited! It's about time my pawrents expanded the family - being an only kitty can be so boring!

Peanut Butter Medicine?!?

August 19th 2008 7:52 pm   [link to this entry]

Mommy talked to the Vet today who prescribed me some medicine after Mommy called and complained that I wasn't given anything during my appointment yesterday. The vet prescribed me grisefulvin which is a liquid medicine that have have to take for a whole 30 days. It tastes funny too. It is something called "Peanut Butter" and once mommy squirted it into my mouth, I kept licking my chops. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it...but afterwards Mommy gave me some treaters, so she made it all better. Only 29 more days left of this peanut butter business!

I's gots da ring wormies. Oh NO!

August 18th 2008 8:19 pm   [link to this entry]

Oh no no no no no. It just can't be true. Mommy and daddy took me to the vet today and they said that my scabby ear is the ring wormies. Grossies. The doc said that I probably had the wormsies when mommy adopted me from the shelter, but that I didn't show signs until a few weeks ago.

The doc said that the fungus spray mommy was using was good enough to get rid of it. Mommy thinks the vet is wrong because I am a Himalayan and she read that sometimes it is very hard for us Himmys to get rid of the ring wormsies because of our fur. I'm a good girl and don't ever scratch my scab, but mommy thinks that she should call another vet to see if I need some medicine to help it go away. I don't want to take any more medicine, though. I don't like taking pills; not one bit!

But in other news, I weigh a whole 6 pounds and 7 ounces! That means that mommy and daddy made me gain a whole pound and a half. The doc said that was very good and that I shouldn't be more than 7 pounds since I'm a little cat. All that Wellness food is sure making me a healthy kitty...well, minus the wormsies anyway!!
