My first Diary~

My NEW Life......by Clementine

Hi Everyone~ I am Clementine or C'tine for short!

I am so happy to be here & to have found a loving forever home!

This is my story....aka ~~My NEW Life~~
I was rescued with my buddy Nelson from the West Valley Animal Shelter on December 21st & I was finally fixed (one big youchie scar on my belly)! My new family does not know much about my life prior to 10/2/07 (my drop off date at the shelter). My shelter card said I was turned in due to the other pets bullin' me.

My mom was shocked ~ 6 years of bullin' ~ How could anyone allow this to happen?

My new family has a feeling I was abused.

I don't like boots (I run outta the room if anyone comes near me wearing boots)
Or the oven (I run outta the kitchen when I hear the oven door open & won't return for quite awhile)
brooms (need I say more?)
the scarey vaccum (I run and jump to the highest point of the closet) ~ It is nice that my new mom makes sure there is an open closet for me to hide in before she starts up the vac)
yet I'm fearless with other animals

I am loving & yes, I meow a lot ~ Thankfully my new mom knows what each meow means & takes great care of me! I am a good girl & I'm one smart cookie. I have one counter I am allowed to jump up on (this is where my dry kibble bowl can be found) & M knows I don't jump up anywhere else in the kitchen cuz she has tested me & left out food. Yes, it was still there in the morning, with not one bite missing! I'm a good girl~ M has tested me on more than one occassion & I'm always a good girl! M is not naive ~ for now I'll make her proud!

I truly love my new family, they are a lively group & my favorite family member is my Kitty Bro Nelson ~ he is so sweet & my best buddy ~ He gives me kiss's & plays with me when ever I wanna play! He'll even let me bully him outta his snugglely bed~even though I have my own snugglely bed to sleep in! He's my very best friend...

OH yeah there are two Giant doggies here too!
~ Dakota ~ he's a.o.k. in my book ~ leaves us K's alone & will share M&D's bed & his doggie pillow bed with me! One good ol' snugglely doggie.

~ Triton ~ I'm not o.k. with this guy ~ he's nice enough but wants to play with me. I come out swinging whenever he gets to close! Even though I know he won't hurt me, I don't like to share my space or my mom and he's always under foot ~ sneaking in on my turf. He loves me but I dont' love him!

M&D are great. Me & Nelson have our own snugglely beds, blankets, toys, food & a warm home.....to call our own! We are lucky!!!

I am the only girl here & I rule my home. Seriously the doggies part when I come walkin' by......I love that!

I'm a mama's girl too and like to be near mom ~ U know us girls gotta stick together. I am jealous of Lil' T & don't like to share M with him!

~I curl up between her arms while she types my diary for me. This kitty has to keep a close eye on my typist ~ you never know what typist will say!

~I sleep atop m's pillow each night ~ or you can find me under the blankets~ snugglely warm!

~I demand attention & will follow M around my home ~ skreechin' at her ~ til I get some lovin' ~ Please ~ I get a ton of lovin' and I'm quite happy to make it known when I want more attention!

~At first I didn't like anyone picking me up, yet my mom would pick me up (she did this a couple times a day), hold me close & say what a good girl I was, then she'd loving place me back on the floor. Now I'm a pro in M's arms. I love to be picked up & snuggled!

~I am starting to learn how to share the bed with those doggies too. I'm o.k. with D being around me & I will lay next to him 'sometimes', but I don't like Lil' T on the bed ~ I will chase him off then walk the edge of the bed hissing at him ~ one pup is enough for this girl ~

"update" I'm getting better with T just as he is getting better with me (he is learning to respect my space & keep his nose outta my rump) ~ so may be (a BIG may be) one day I might like him!

~I am good at climping trees & I wear a pretty kitty collar with bells, so the birds hear me coming!!!!!! I love to watch the birds......one day I may even catch one.

~I've had a couple close adventures here too!
One night Dad locked up the house ~ be still my heart ~ & the black knat saved my life ~ if not for T's nonstop barkin' at the back door, I would have been freeze dried by morning (it was in the low 30's that night).....Lil' ol' me was waiting, waiting, for someone to open the door! Thx T

Another night I jumped over the fence ~ & M did not know ~ She spent hours looking for me ~ cryin' ~ callin' out for me to please come home ~ THEN poof.......she hears a gingle! Opens the front door & there I was~~~~~M swooped me up in her arms ~ kiss's galore for me ~ her good girl ~

I'm all settled in & my life is the best~I am thankful to have a wonderful family, a warm home & as of this diary the black knat can stay!

p.s. My shelter name is Clementine ~ Right now M calls me C'Tine but she wants to change it to Isabella (aka Izzie)......do I look like an Izzie to U?
