We Lost Harry

We found out Harry had cancer. He was so sick by Saturday, stumbling and falling but refusing to give up. Mom took him to the emergency clinic. She came back empty handed and sobbing. We lost our buddy. There is a big empty space in our hearts and home where our lion boy used to be.

Mom's Mad at the Vet

Mom took Harry to the vet this evening, she wants to do an exray and blood tests but mom only had enough money for the exam and said she could pay on Tuesday (payday)

The vet sent her on her way with Harry, after telling the vet assistant she was worried Harry might not make it ..... did she think mom was pretending to have an empty wallet? We've all been to that vet, and this is the first time mom didn't have enough money... mom is sad and worried.

The good news is that when she stopped at the store she bought several kinds of food, and Harry ate the new fish meals she found ...the whole pouch... so now she will keep him by her side (I'm trying not to be jealous) as she tries to make him take more water, and tomorrow she'll contact some other vets to see if any will make a payment agreement so that Harry doesn't have to wait until Tuesday to see the vet and get the tests.

That visiting kitty is GONE!

Mom came home and took the visiting stray cat away. She seemed sad to leave with her...

She said that kitty (they have been calling her Lyric because she sings all the time... I'll tell you... I'd just call it wailing....) cried all the way to the vet, until she stuck her finger through the carrier lid and then Lyric calmed down. At the vet she went nicely with the vet tech.

Mom was glad to hear that it looks like Lyric is healthy, just underweight. She'll get fattened up at the shelter or with a foster family until she's ready for a forever home.

I'm worried about my fur friend; Harry, mom has to take him to the vet, he has lost a lot of weight quite suddenly and is kind of sluggish. Mom hasn't made a page for him yet, she will soon, for now she's cuddling Harry on her lap and worried because he's usually not a lap cat.
