Surprise from Rocky Ann

Today is Fred's birthday - he's 7 years old. That is pretty special.

BUT this afternoon, Papa said there was a package on the porch for us. Mommy opened it & GUESS WHAT? It was a package from our BLING-having, Stroller-riding, Hello Kitty collecting, friend ROCKY ANN!!!!!

It was the biggest box of toys I have ever seen. It has a catnip alligator, turtle & squirrel & a catnip heart (which we let Fred play with first, since it's his birthday). Then there are spinners & springs & crazies that look like the thingys we get from the orange juice & milk jugs that we love. And then there is a Goodnight Garfield Beanie, which Mommy will put where we cant get it - we can only look, not touch & definitely not slobber on. All of this was individually wrapped in Cat paper or Hello Kitty bags. I told you it was a lot of stuff. Can you believe that?

Rocky Ann even has Hello Kitty thank you cards and sent one to us thanking us for the Hello Kitty charm we sent her. She is the nicest kitty. We think her mommy's pretty cool too & might have had something to do with this.

The party is at our house tonight for sure. Oh, it's our Papa's birthday too, so we'll have cake & ice cream later, but with all these toys, who can think about that?

Mommy's birthday

Today is my Mommy's birthday!! She had a great day, with cake & presents at work. Then our grandparents came over and brought cake & ice cream. YUMMY!!! But nobody gave her any catnip. What kinda friends does she have? Mommy brought home some BIG papers with numbers on them - they seem to upset her a little - they said THE BIG 5-0. Not sure what that means. We gave her lots of purrs & kitty kisses though.
My human sister has a birthday today too. She doesnt live with us. She went to dinner with her friends. Mommy says they will celebrate together Saturday at an all-day Spa.
Well, gotta go for now. It's time for more ice cream.

Hey everybody:
I cant believe it has been so long since I wrote anything in my diary. So much has happened since Dec.

Kozmo is STILL here - we like him okay I guess. He really is okay for a DOG!

We have moved into a house which is great. We have our own room and Kozmo cant get in there because we have a gate at the door. We can get out if we want, but he cant get in. HA HA!!! Papa is going to put a walkway around our room so we can look out the windows and "chill". Mommy & Papa also got a new mattress, which is super soft & comfy. We take our naps there.

Life is good!!!!

Santa's Surprise

We sure got a surprise from Santa. He brought the usual stuff, catnip, furry mice, etc., BUT - he also brought something we never expected (or asked for) - A DOG!!!!!!
That's right - Papa came home with a dog on Christmas Eve night. Our parents went to PetSmart and Angels of Assisi was there with this dog named Kozmo. Papa decided Kozmo needed a forever home, so he bought him.
WELL - we are now sharing our home with him and not very happy about it. Freckles & I are hiding in the top shelf of the closet. Bo is staying as high in windows as he can. Skeeter seems to like the dog & is actually sniffing him. Blue, Fred & Hope are hissing at him mostly and protecting the rest of us. Blue swatted him right on the butt too. We will show him who the masters of this house are.
Mommy says we have to get along with Kozmo and that he wont hurt us. We'll try it, but dont count on us liking it.
Gotta run for now - I think the dog is going to type now. Mommy says he can join Dogster.

Mommy's birthday

'member I told you my Mommy's birthday was coming. Well, it was Monday and guess what - she didnt have any catnip - she had cake and ice cream - what's up with that? We gave her a card. Papa left it at her computer desk so she found it first thing Monday morning before she went to work. She loved her card and gave us kisses. She is so good to us and takes good care of us.
Well, gotta go for now. I have to run through the house. Just wanted to tell you about the party (or non-catnip party as it was).

Anniversary

Well this weekend marked one year with my family. They rescued me from the tree last year about this time. We remember the date because it was right after they rescued Hope & her children and right before Mommy's birthday (which is this coming Sunday). I am very happy here and hope I never have to live in a tree again. Mommy & Papa promise me that I wont.
Everything here is great. My brothers & sisters play with me all the time. We share the chairs and Mommy & Papa's bed. It is very hot so we share the air conditioner vent too.
Well, time to go to bed. Chat you later.

My Birthday

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!
Birthdays are the best!!! This afternoon when Mommy & Papa came home from work, we had a little party. Mommy put LOTS of catnip on the floor and my brothers and sisters & I had a party. Mostly it was me, Fred, Bo, Freckles & Skeeter. Blue & Hope just watched us like we were crazy. First we had to taste the catnip, then we rolled around in it. Bo was rolling all over the floor. Skeeter tasted it and then watched me & Bo, but I'm glad he joined us. He is so shy. Fred has a very sensitive stomach so he cant eat much, but he had fun. Freckles was being a prissy girl and mostly nibbled and watched us. What a fun party!!! Who need cake when you have catnip.
Who has the next birthday? I think it's Mommy - do you think she would like a catnip party? I think we will surprise her & have one.
Well, gotta take a nap now - partying is very tiring. Papa says he hopes we dont have a hangover in the morning. What does that mean?

My wonderful life

Sorry I havent written in so long. We keep so busy - eating, sleeping, helping our papa, eating, sleeping and then eating and taking a nap. So much to do.
It is almost time for my birthday. I will be one years old. I am still the baby around here though. Wonder what they do for birthdays around here. Cant wait to see what my presents will be.
It is really getting warm here and we get to keep the windows open and look out at the birds and squirrels. Wonder how they would taste? Probably not as good as our cat food.
Well, gotta go. I think it's time for papa to feed the fish and I want a snack.
