To have loved and then said farewell is better than to have- never loved at all...

My goodest friend ALBERT shared this lovely poem with me, and I loved it so much that I had to put it in my diary. Thank you for sharing, ALBERT!

To have loved and then said farewell is better than to have never loved at all.

For all of the times that you stooped and touched my head, fed me my favorite treat and returned the love that I so unconditionally gave to you. For the care that you gave to me so unselfishly. For all of these things I am grateful and thankful. I ask that you grieve not for the loss but rejoice in the fact that we lived, loved and touched each other's lives.

My life was fuller because you were there, not as owner, but as my friend. Today, I am as I was in my youth. The grass is always green, butterflies flit among the flowers and the sun shines gently down upon all of God's creatures. I can run, jump and play and do all of the things that I did in my youth.

There is no sickness, no aching joints and no regrets and no aging. We await the arrival of our lifelong companions and know
that togetherness is forever. You live in our hearts as we do in yours. Companions such as you are very rare and unique. Don't hold the love that you have within yourself.

Give it to another like me and then I will live forever. For love never really dies, and you are loved and missed as surely as we are.

Your pet in heaven.

Tommy is home

We angel kitties helped guide TOMMY home to the Bridge on 5/4/10, and his journey was a beautiful and peaceful one. TABBY and I have opened our home to him and we are all very excited to have him stay with us. Of course his stay with us will be temporary, as he will be marrying his beautiful fiancée, ZOEY soon, yet he is welcome to stay with us indefinitely! This is slated to be one of the most beautiful Earth and Angel kitty weddings ever. TOMMY and ZOEY’S very special day is scheduled for May 23, however we are all very flexible if his heartbroken mom is not up to participating in the wedding on that day. Take all of the time that you need; we are all here for you and will surround you with the love and support that you deserve.

I must say how excited TOMMY was to meet his Angel sisfur, and my beautiful wife, TABBY! My heart brims with pride as I watch the two siblings, reunited together forever, playing in the fragrant catnip fields under rainbow laden skies. TOMMY is loving all of the trees, Emery Cat toys and endless abundances of tuna, salmon, chicken and delectable goodies.

Tommy speaking: Dear mommy: I want you to know how happy and healthy I am now… I am strong and healthy, my orange coat is lustrous and soft and my eyes are bright! The Bridge is so beautiful and I am enjoying everything here. I am soaring through the heavens with Tabby and we both watch over you and sprinkle rainbow angel dust over you while you sleep, giving you happy dreams. We feel you in our hearts as you do us, knowing we are forever entwined. Until we meet again… I love you mommy ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

My sisfur Eve

My dear furrend Scarlett posted a most important diary entry. She is so articulate that I "stole" it and am reporting it too. Please dear furrends, it is very important that my sisfur Eve's death not be in vain.

From our dear Angel Scarlett:

All the Bridge Angels were celebrating today because the Cat's Meow featured our darling Angel Eve!!! Her story has touched the hearts of caring people around the world. Quite an accomplishment for one little kitten!

Meowmy wanted me to post an update. She and Mommy Terry, along with friends and supporters of Eve's, have written to the government officials mentioned below. As of today, they have received a total of 0 responses. It seems Eve's mommies and their furriends are being ignored by those in a position to help improve the situation at Okefenokee Humane Society.

In Eve's memory, all the Bridge Angels are asking any of you who can to contact these people, asking for an inquiry into Eve's case and conditions at OHS. If enough voices are raised, perhaps we will be heard. We'll be sprinkling angel dust for luck!!!

Tommy Irvin, GA State Agriculture Commissioner:

Mary Green, Head of Animal Protection at GA Dept.of Agriculture
(Note: The email link is no longer working. Perhaps a FAX or phone call would be even more effective.)
Tele: (404) 656-4914
Fax: (404) 463-8195

Dr. Blount - A vet serving on the Board of Directors of OHS. He has been sent the complete story of Eve, her photo, and a copy of the petition. He has yet to respond either to Terry or me.

Gail Boyd, Ware Co. Manager: I wrote her asking for her help in contacting the Board of Directors of the OHS. I explained Eve's story. No response.

Ware County Commission: These people oversee the elusive OHS Board of Directors and deal with their budget. This link has emails and contact information for at least some of the Commission.

T hank you and bless you all~

I have a big secret!

TABBY and I ELOPED last weekend!

We decided not to have a big wedding; rather we purrferred to have a romantic elopement. Now that we are back, we are ready to celepurrrate our joy with everyone and will be hosting a party in the forums soon. All are invited; Earth kitties and doggies and Bridge kitties and doggies!

We spent a meowvelous week at the Luxor in Vegas and have recently just returned. My heart soared as we soared the skies together on gossamer angel wings above the glittering night skyline and danced among the stars all night long! Our days were spent lounging poolside sipping champagne and noshing hamachi appetizers, swimming the crystal clear waters at the resort and giggling like little kittens. We swooped over the Strip and we both won jackpots at the casinos… I am looking forward to going mansion shopping at the Bridge! (MOL)

I think that Bridge Angels have the most fun! I feel young and spry as a kitten again; even more so after having been at the Rainbow Bridge, healthy, happy and whole. My Tabby completes my life, she is my Yin and I’m her Yang; purrrfect compliments!

Cheers, my beautiful wife! I love you endlessly, always and forever!

*whispers to my mother in law* That was us that sent you that rainbow sign yesterday. We knew you'd know it was from us. Although you and my mom miss us terribly, we are at peace and eternally happy here at the Bridge.

Smiles, rainbow kisses, angel hugs to our Earth pawrents~~

This happy little angel at the Bridge is ENGAGED!!!
I'm doing angelic cartwheels of love and happines! I proposed to my angel love, TABBY on Friday and she said...

*shouts to the world* She said YES! Oh I love my girl so much! She is the best thing for me, and my furever future with her is happy beyond comprehension!

We had a beautiful evening together (well, as always...) but this was a night of pure ENCHANTMENT! If you want to spy, here is our date night thread! ual_Play_Dates/thread/617383

*swoops about the Heavens, giddy and happy as a little kitten!*

We California boys sure love our Ohio girls!

Teehee! My twin brofur Oingo shared a giggle with his beautiful wifey HAZEL yesterday. She brought up the fact that we California boys must have a thing for Ohio girls. (Oh, let me clarify; she DID say Minnesota boys; although our Earth family lives in MN we’re technically Cali boys, being that we lived our lives in CA) My darling sister in law Hazel is from Ohio, and ironically, so is my new luvpurr, TABBY! How pawsome is that! Great brothers and great minds think alike!

Oingo and Boingo together raise a toast to their lovely Ohio ladies, HAZEL and TABBY! There is definitely something mysterious, intriguing and altogether WONDERFUL about the two of you Ohio lovelies!

She's happy! She hoped it was ME!!

I am dancing on the clouds and floating amidst the rainbows in pure angelic bliss! TABBY was elated with all of my secret admirer notes, and had HOPED that it was me!

Oh goodness.... the scary part is over MOL! I was hopelessly nervous putting together my surprise picnic for her. Tabby, sweetie, you are so worth pursuing, my beautiful soulmate!

*swoops up to the highest cloud, sprinkling Magic Dust and shouts to the world:*

*swoops back to his beautiful picnic spot and settles back in with his sweet girl* *ta-tinnnggggss* wine glasses together with her, smiling, giddy, feeling love in his heart. I want to show this girl the world and I want her to know how very special she is, for she is such a deserving and beautiful lady, inside and out!

A very special "tag"

*Looks up from what he is doing*

With a start, he realizes that TABBY has stopped by!! OMC…. Nervous butterflies… Hello, sweet Tabby. I, um…. I sort of brought you here under somewhat false pretenses. You see, I sent you the note that I’d tagged you and to read my diary. Well, I tagged you, but not in the typical Catster fashion. I…. er….. I tagged you with my heart, that is, I wanted to get you to visit my diary, for I have something I want to tell you.

I have been noticing that someone has been sending you anonymous rosies of admiration, for which you are very deserving. It seems that somepurr may be smitten with you, yet you’re a married lady? Or maybe you’re no longer married and that you and Jasper are forever friends? I understand that kind of love and respect; that simply makes you more beautiful, in my eyes… beautiful inside and out.

May I offer you a bouquet of DAISIES in friendship? I hope you like yellow; they are so sunny and bright!

I’m wondering, if you have time to stay for a bit, would you like to share a picnic lunch with me at my favorite spot down by the river? The BUTTERFLIES are dancing, the river is softly babbling, the sun is shining warmly and the sky is dotted with endless Rainbow Bridge Rainbows...

Please.... take a look at my favorite place here at the Beautiful Bridge. I wanted to share it with you...

*Hums to himself, albeit a bit nervously, opens the PICNIC BASKET, fidgets and nearly drops the GRILLED SALMON. Sets out plates, piles two plates with AHI TUNA, GRILLED SALMON, CHICKEN KABOBS, CHOCOLATE MOUSSE and two glasses of THE BEST CHARDONNAY.

I hope you can join me for a bit. If not, I fully understand, for I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Tabby, I’m your secret admirer.

*Holds breath in anticipation of how Tabby will react*

A little bit about me

I've been tagged by my friend CRITTER! I have to list seven things about myself and then tag seven of my friends.

1. I don’t sit like a normal cat. I sit up like a human, on my bee-hind!

2. I have a beautiful identical twin brother named Oingo.

3. I beat amazing odds all my life and lived to be 20 years old!

4. I once spent the night in mom’s tree. I don’t know why? It was a nice night and I suppose I felt like star gazing…

5. I liked to sit on mom’s shoulder as she drove back and forth from Santa Barbara to the Bay Area with me. She ALWAYS took me with her during college vacations.

6. I lost my sweet brother Oingo when he was just a kitten, and lived my life without other kitties until I was 14. I loved my new sisfur Chandon… eventually! I did dig my heels in and balk at the situation.

7. My very best friend at the Rainbow Bridge is BRANDON, the cutest Pekingese ever!

I'm tagging these seven friends:
