Arrival Story:
Long story! I found 4 Kittens in a box crying, at the Green house, where I go regularly.(There's a girl who works there who found them outside her house, and was taking them to the pound if nobody wanted them.)They were way too young, and very wild. I was working and couldn't take them with me all day, so I told her I'd be back later to get them if no one else took them first.(I didn't think anyone there would want wild kittens)I new my husband would be upset if I had come home with 4 kittens If he didn't think it was a matter of life or death, So I called him, and made up a story about hearing them in the bushes crying ,and mom cat had passed. I said "what do I do?"(I was pretty sure he would tell me to take them home.He said "You Can't just leave them there! (That was the answer I wanted to hear!)So I finished my day and headed back to the Green house. When I got there, there was only two left. Another girl had taken the 2 less wild ones. Now I had to make up a story about what i did with the other two, so I just said I found them a home. These babies needed kitten formula, and were so wild, that I put them in a large rabbit cage to run around in, till I could get them used to me. In the meantime, my cat Caddy hand picked the wild orange one. (The other one was a lot more tame)I figured, one that liked Caddy and not me, would be best because Caddy is a very jeleous Cat. I found a home for the other one with a gentle little girl & Mother. It was love at first sight for the kitten & girl. the kitten melted in her arms, and Caddy had a new friend.

Rufus, was a silly, sweet, shy cat that just couldnt wait for me to wake in the morning, he would start squeeking in delight the second my eyes open,to head to the bathroom for his water out of the faucet, and Miss Dottie by his side. One month ago July 24th,2012 I took him to the Vet because he started throwing up often, and I noticed he lost weight. The vet did blood tests, and urine test. to find his protien level low. The Vet gave me a liquid cortizon/steriod medicine and thought it could be IBD.In thoughs two weeks he lost half his body wieght, and by the third week he was skin and bones, I tryed dozens of cat foods,KMR,tuna juice, baby food, protien boster, etc... but he would only take a little.I lost my Rufus August 24, 2012 Miss Dottie, and I are heart broken over what happend to our goofus. It happened so fast and unexpected. He was only 10 years old.
