Merry Christmas from the Rainbow Bridge

It's a bitter sweet time of the year for us here at the Rainbow
Bridge, longing to be with the people we love so much and we know they
miss us too.
We have a tree, beautifully decorated, with treats of every kind.
Popcorn strings, doggie biscuits, kitty treats, seeds, etc. Each of
us made presents to trade.
On Christmas Eve, we gather around the reflecting remembrance pool.
Many of us are waiting for that magical moment when we can go back to
earth and visit our loved ones. You see Christmas Eve is a very
special night when all of our dreams of visiting come true. One by
one, we step into the mist by the pool, and we feel a very strange
sensation. Not of falling, but of floating. We all go in different
directions, north and south, east and west. We are so excited for
that moment and forget about the floating.
When we arrive, it's dark and quiet. We tiptoe into our favorite
persons room and watch them. We sneak up on the bed, to nuzzle our
noses against theirs. We must be very quiet not to wake them, or our
visit is over all to soon. Our person can see us in their dreams and
we see a smile on their face. We whisper that we're fine, and that we
are waiting for them when their time is done on earth.
All of a sudden our visit is over and we're once again back at the
Rainbow bridge. Each one of us is content knowing we made our special
people happy. We have hopes that it made them happy and bring back
all the wonderful memories we shared while together on Earth.

We all want to wish you a Very Merry Christmas from our loving home
at the Rainbow Bridge.

(Mommy wishes she knew who wrote this.
She got it from Annie ID#433547, who got it from Rainbow Bridge Angel Babies)

This having a Mommy & Daddy thing is pretty good.
I was going to stay an outdoor kitty because that's what I was use to.
One night it was storming really bad.
The Mommy was worried about me being outside.
She asked me to go into the cage.
I went with no problem.
She took me inside the house.
Wow....there's other kitties in there too.
They weren't thrilled with me being inside but Brandy loved it.
Her & I had become best of pals outside.
We'd lay together in sunbeams.
She'd let me clean her fur.
I'd let her lick my ears.

Mommy was saying it wouldn't hurt to let me be an indoor kitty.
What's one more is what she said.
I loved the idea.
I wanted to sit on laps & be petted all the time too.
Daddy said I was named properly..."Freddy the FreeLoader"

The years went by.
I kept getting sick.
We'd go to the vet.
The kept trying different things but it would just come back.
My breathing was really bad.
Mommy & Daddy said I was louder than the big truck.
Lots of joking about that.

I'd have problems peeing too.
It would always hurt.
All the meds & food changes didn't help.

At one point, I just kept getting sicker.
I really didn't want to leave & go to any old Rainbow Bridge.
Romper & Smokey had gone there but I wanted to stay.
Everybody I loved was right here.
I would miss Brandy just way too much.
I'd even grown to love the new pup, Harley.

Mommy had to take me to the vet.
They loved me there.
They were so sad that they couldn't make me better.
Everyone was with me as the gently helped me cross the Rainbow Bridge.
Poor Mommy.....she was heartbroken.
I watched her cry & cry.
She took me home to let Brandy say good bye to me again....
this time in a different way.
I could feel Brandy's soft tongue giving me goodbye kisses.
She whispered to me that she'd see me really soon.
She wasn't feeling very well. She was getting so old.

I told her that I'd watch out for her.
She knew I was too.
Everytime she'd go outside, she'd be looking up into the sky.
She was missing me & looking for me.

It was only a couple of weeks later when Brandy joined me
at the Rainbow Bridge.
Poor Mommy & Daddy.
They both missed us so much.
We were happy to be together though.
We didn't hurt anymore.

One of our Grandmas was here.
She was spoiling us rotten.
Brandy got put in charge of thunderstorms & I am her helper.

Our other Grandma joined us.
We were all super spoiled big time.

Then something very very bad happened.
Our Daddy joined us at the Rainbow Bridge.
We didn't want him here.
We wanted him to still be with Mommy.
Mommy's heart was breaking & we couldn't help her.

Don't get me wrong....it was great to see Daddy
but Mommy needed him with her.

Now all of us watch over Mommy from up here.
