Arrival Story:
I had only been in my new house for a few months, and already I was sort of known by the neighbors as the "person with all the animals", I guess. One afternoon my neighbor knocks on the door and is holding this tiny smidge of a kitten she had found under a shed. Said she saw no sign of a mom cat, and wondered if I would be able to help. I bottle fed him and raised him, entirely thinking I would find him a home when he was old enough, but ...that's my wee baby!! I should have known I would never part with him. :)
