Pet-Peeves: taking baths, people who ignore her...she won't allow it.
Favorite Toy: the cat and mouse toy and the little things you peel off the milk gallons
Favorite Nap Spot: a shoebox
Favorite Food: pizza
Skills: She is able to sit up on her back legs like a squirrel quite well for her age and boxes while doing so...she has mastered making grand leaps to knock things over.
Arrival Story: My boyfriend works the graveyard shift at a lumber mill as a milwright. He heard a ruckus coming from the oil pitt (which is about an eight foot drop) and found this little creature. He put her in his jacket pocket knowing full well I've been dying to have a cat again (it's been a few years and he is a major dog person). I woke up at 5am to having a hamster like creature being put on my chest with my bf's sarcastic comment, "Here, you're on your own with this one". As I looked closer I realized it was a little torbie w/white kitten. She was approximately four weeks old according to the vet and despite fleas and ear mites checked out quite well for a feral. I've spent many waking and non-waking hours with her everyday as my little shadow and sidekick and I have caught my boyfriend "sneaking her some love" to which he adamantly denies...LOL. She has made him fall in love with her as well.
Bio: Kuan Yin lives in a home with three dogs, two turtles, two goats, a 300 gallon cichlid fish tank, a chameleon, an iguana, a tokay gecko, an oscar tank, and a koi pond in the backyard she can gaze at through the window. She likes to tear around corners and terrorize the dogs. She also likes to watch TV when the mood strikes her.
Story behind the Name:: The night before Kuan Yin was brought home I was having a very difficult time due to some problems with my disabilities/disorders. I lit an incense and offered it to my Kuan Yin statue (the Buddhist goddess of mercy) in the hopes I would find some peace. A few hours later she was sent to me and I lovingly named her after this goddess I had so desperately prayed to.
