Arrival Story:
6 months after losing Summertime's predecessor, I felt I was ready for a new cat. After careful study, I knew that I wanted a blue colorpoint ragdoll girl. None of the local breeders had one available, and I was directed to the breed chairperson in WI. The kitten she reserved for me turned out to be mitted. So she offered me an older kitten that she was going to use in her breed program. And so, sight unseen, a few days later, my sweet little girl was airshipped to NY from WI. Lucky me!

Bio:
For the first year that she spent with me, we never spent the night apart. Either I'd come home, or she'd come with me. She was a well travelled kitty, having gone to Boston several times, spent a week in Cape Cod, visited many places in Ct and NJ. She even flew to Dallas and LA, carefully tucked under the seat in front of me. she was so good on the plane. The human babies were crying, but not a peep out of her! But after a while, she preferred the comfort of her own home. I wanted to get her a sibling, so she wouldn't be so lonely when I travelled, so we went looking for one. After that, she made it very clear that she did NOT want a sister, or yeach! a brother. So we had a chat in which we agreed that she could stay an only child as long as she wouldn't get depressed when I had to travel, and would not punish me when I came home. The deal was struck, and we both stuck to our bargain.
