Arrival Story:
Buder hails originally from Bethel, CT. His mother was pure-bred Himalayan, somehow got knocked up by a neighbourhood tom, and her love-kittens were all given away. He came to Brookfield, CT with a fluffy tortoiseshell sister, Dimf/Dymph, who died soon thereafter. Their three or four other littermates went elsewhere. He moved from Connecticut to Portland OR for two reasons: he needed to be an only cat, and our previous cat had died a couple of months prior.

Bio:
Although he fought with his housemate-cats (21 (including 8 kittens in temporarily resident new litters) at the most numerous) and probably neighbors, Buder lost his left eye for medical reasons. He started as indoor/outdoor in Connecticut, then was an indoor (apartment) cat for almost four years (Late Summer of 2000 - early Summer of 2004) until we moved from Portland to Vancouver and suddenly had a yard available for the first 7-8 months. We've since moved, and Buder is once again an indoor cat.. His name is pronounced with a long "u", like Buddha or Booter (depending on your accent).
