Arrival Story:
After having seen a picture of my beloved Monkee cat, a friend told me she had rescued a cat that looked like her from the streets. Since Monk had left us, I was very lonely for a new cat...so I drove the 30 miles to adopt stray kitty. I brought her home and she promptly disappeared under the furniture for 3 weeks. One night, just as I was about to go to sleep, stray kitty came bounding upon my bed, ran up my body and began loudly meowing in my face. I was so shocked...I said "what's wrong baby?" and she immediately presented her back-side to me where I could see she had a kitten presenting. She tried and tried to deliver the kitten...I tried to soothe her and stroke her but to no avail. Finally, I got a tissue and on her next contraction I pulled the kitten out. Stray kitty took off like a light. I immediately broke the sack and cleaned up the kitten. I finally coaxed stray kitty over and she began licking the kitten and while she was doing that...the next kitten delivered. During the night two more kittens were born. About five weeks later the kittens started to get sick. That's when I discovered that stray kitty...now known as Clouseau...was feline leukemia +. Sadly all four kittens died. The vet told me Clouseau had maybe a year to live. I decided to make it the best year a cat could hope for. Gratefully, that was ten years ago....Suddenly this week Clouseau became very ill and passed on to the bridge today - August 14th, 2004. I can't really imagine my life without her right now. She brought me so much joy...She will always be loved and missed. Godspeed

Bio:
We bonded the night of her delivery...since then she has been such a wonderfully loving companion. She is so sweet and affectionate. I can't imagine a better friend.

Do you remember our first Christmas tree together? You were such a good kitty. You would get under the tree and sleep, but you never bothered anything on the tree. It's Christmas time again and I wish I could see you sleeping under the tree once more.

I hope you are happy and have all the "wet" food you want. Merry Christmas!

I look at your sweet face in these photos and miss you so much...I wish you were here. My heart still hurts so much. I want to move on to the part of the process where I can think of you and only smile, but I'm just not there yet.
