Dandi loves to snuggle, she's quite a lap dog ...even at 71 pounds! She has learned that she, like most everyone else loves to play soccer. Actually anything with a ball, she's pretty good at stealing the basket ball, but she's a ball hog!
Pet-Peeves:
Having to be on her rug until she can control herself when the Grandkids come down. She loves to go in the pickup...she knows that means a trip to Home Depot where she is very popular.
Favorite Toy:
Her favorite toys are still Mom, Dad and the 8 Grandkids, but her favorite "toy" is Patrick, a stuffed green dog that she has had for about 2 years. She has never torn things up so she's got a ton or stuffed toys.
Favorite Food:
Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy, Milk Bones, The last bite of anything Mom is eating.
Favorite Walk:
To Home Depot/Lowes and the like. She is VERY popular there and she gets to talk with other dogs and their owners. She still loves to go to see Dr. Buck our vet. She prances in like she owns the place and they all come running to see her.
Best Tricks:
Giveing you her "puppy" eyes. She can talk anybody out of anything. She likes to doodle dance on her hind feet, it's really a good show. She's getting pretty good at catching things when they are tossed to her. She' a very good ball stealer.
Arrival Story:
We had been looking for a puppy for quite a long time (this was the first time we have ever been without any pets.) I just happened to go online & found Goldendoodles. I emailed immediately & Jasmine (owner of Dandi's parents) emailed me & called that night . They had only been posted on line for about 20 minutes before I emailed her. We set up a time for the next night & as soon as my husband (David) got home we drove for about 2 hours to Jasmine's house. We met Dandi's Mom and Dad and all 11 puppies, they were all beautiful! They had all just eaten & all 11 were asleep. It was so cute, there little piles of golden doodle puppies sound asleep. There were only 2 females, one jet black and one golden (Dandi) after holding & petting both we chose Dandi (the golden). I knew the second I held her close to me that she was the "one" for us. We put her back down with her litter mates that she had been sleeping with but she didn't stay with them. She promptly walked as far away from the litter as she could go & turned & barked at them as if to say "HA HA I AM PICK OF THE LITTER". She was 7 weeks old when she came home & she has truely been a blessing in our lives. We can't imagine life without her!
Bio:
Dandi was born in Chehalis, WA and lived with her mom and dad until she was 7 weeks old. She is one of two females in a litter of 11. All of her litter mates were beautiful. We picked her out when she was 4 weeks old. She now lives with us (David & Pam) in Burley, WA about 2 hours from where she was born. Dandi had some health issues for some time but she received great care and her health issues are a thing of the past. She loves Dr. Buck and her staff. The way she prances into the office you would think she owned the place. She is VERY smart and loving. She obeys well and is easy to care for. She has learned to use her beautiful brown eyes to worm her way into everyones heart who meets her. Whenever we go on vacation if she can't come, Dandi stays with my Mom & Dad...better known as Grama & Grampa! Both of the folks are always happy to have her come & stay & she has it made there. Luckily they spoil her but also make her mind, isn't that what love truely is...spoiled, but not allowed to be out of control! We want her to be welcomed where ever she goes...and she is! Dandi has a birthday party every year with the same menu...tacos and carrot cake!!! We have a pretty good crowd and she loves getting gifts. Now it's 5+ years later and we still can't imagine not have her in our lives. She has touched so many people it boggles my mind. Even people who don't like dogs love Dandi. When we take her to Home Depot or Lowes David has to do the shopping while I stand & let people pet her & answer their questions. There will be people lined up to talk with us & you can her people calling for the rest of their family to come & see her. One night the folks at Lowes were so busy with Dandi they forgot to close the store & it wasn't until man came in & asked what time they closed that they realized the store was suppose to be closed a half hour earlier! Dandi has that effect of everyone.

Well, another vacation has come and gone, but this one was more exciting, at least for Mom & Dad! They had a long lunch with Bonzer's parents on Tuesday and had a blast. Bonzer didn't come with them so I didn't go either...maybe next time!
I went to spend 2 days with Gramma & Grampa and had a really good time. I always have fun there, but I really did want to met Bonzer, nose to nose!
Who knows maybe we'll get to meet some more Dogster friends one day, I hope I get to go!
Bonzer doesn't like to fly and that's how they came down, but maybe they'll bring him someday! I don't know if I like to fly, I've never tried it! Mom says they'd put me with the luggage...I think that's just her trying to come up with a reason to not let me on the plane!
Well, Dad's got the movie cued up and is calling us to come down!

Wow it seems like it's been forever since we been on our diary site! Mom's up later that usual for her lately. With everything going on in her back all she's been able to do is update her games and she feels like she's failing even that.
I'm bored, no one to throw my ball or play with me until Dad gets home. I have half of a hair cut, body done which makes my head look too big for my body! One foot is done, but nothing on my legs! I look kinda strange, but I don't care, hehehehe people still love me where ever I go.
I seen another golden doodle before Mom's back went south. I didn't get to meet him because as Mom & I were trying to get to him people kept stopping us to pet me and ask the usual questions. We found out that his name is Clifford and he and his Mom were looking for us too. The checkers all know me and Clifford. They were the one who told us about them trying to find me & Mom. Maybe next time we could have a face to face meeting. He was beautiful! I think I might have a doggy crush!
Well Mom's back says we have to go to bed!

Finally, Bull's Eye Game 10 begins today. Mom was busy last week with appointments so we were off, but we're back playing Bull's Eye! It's hard to believe it's game 10 already. The Furs really seem to like it. It's fun when everyone joins in on the conversation and enjoys themselves!
We have a great group of Furs from Pups and Purrs playing. We have little adventures here and there, we just let ourselves be silly enjoy the game!
Dad's still hunting that mole that's digging up our acreage! I told him I would help but when I go after them the yard looks even worse so Dad told me that I didn't need to help!
Momma was asleep a few nights ago and I knew I needed to wake her up cuz her blood sugar was way too low and she would wake up, so I went and got Daddy and he finally got her to wake up! They told me I was a very good girl and gave me a little treat.
Well that's about it...till next time!
