We had a very nice Christmas with rain this year, no snow yet. Mom picked up bird seed, safflower, that critters other than birds are not supposed to like. Well, apparently the birdies don't like it either. The feeder has been up 4 days and NOT ONE BIRDIE has been to eat. We're waiting patiently, we like bird watching, and are disappointed that no one likes our seed :(
same problem here, we have very snotty birds here though, they never bite. I'm sure they will there though. Paws are crossed for you!
Years ago we were told that birds loved the safflower seeds...but we had no takers. They lOVE sunflower seeds!
Aw, Mickey - they'll show up. Sometimes they just take a while to realize there's food down there - small brains, ya know! Hehehe...
oh noe she dinna....
trooly....this just proves de point we haz been tryin ta make for like 80 bazillion yeers.....
BURDS BE STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID !!
hay, a happy N healthy N blessed mew yeer two ewe N yur familee:)
Hope the birdies come to your feeder soon. Dad calls our bird feeder kitty cable tv bill.
Well, Sparky these mountain birds must be snobs too and Pipo is right we have had NO takers. Samhain and the Tabbies have summed up birdie thought-they don't know a good thing. Anyway, as Rose said, that seed is expensive, think I'll ask Mom if there's a Cable Bird channel to watch-is there another use for 10 pounds of expensive safflower seed?
Happy New Year to all by furriends.
Mr. Mickey we love watchin' tha birds too. We have a bird feeder off the back porch and our mouths start to chattering! Maybe if I wiggle the end of my tail a birdie will think it is a worm and come over ;)
We get lots a buuurds. More than when I was using them as my fast food snacks! Purrrdy cardinals flappin' 'round, sure miss munchin' on dem (sorry, Tabbies). I sits in da window and make buuurdy calls. We had someone give us this mushy stuff called suet in a little frame. Dose crazy buuurds went really crazy over dat. We have days with no buuurds. Maybe it been too warm for some of dem. Until da snow flies they find worms and things.
Birds, what birds?!?!?!?!? MOL
