Hi everyone!

It has been a long time since I have been on Catster.

Let me assure everyone that I am fine. I have been online over at Facebook. However, Facebook has decided that they no longer want my profile, so it was suspended! Of all things!!

So, instead of fighting it, Mom and I decided to bring my online antics back to Catster. I am sad that all my human friends cannot really interact here, because Catster is for cats. Just like Facebook is for people.

So, if you have a cat and want to be my friend....just ask! You know how I love my friends.

This is all I have to say for now.

I hope all my friends will come to say hi every now and then.

I was tricked!

My Mom is the best Mom, but sometimes, she's mean to me! :-(

Today, she went and found the cat box and brought it in the house. I figured Patches had to go in to see Dr. Thomas, so I was inside the box inspecting it....and Mom slammed the door shut! *gasp*

HOW DARE she trap the Rusty man! I was doing a good deed making sure the box was good enough for Patches' trip and it turns out, it was my turn!

Last time she took Baxter....why did *I*, Rusty The Best Cat have to go to the vet?

I hate car rides and I don't like traveling to the town. I just like being home on my window bed.

I digress though and went. Turns out, Mom has one cat who is not sick!

*big cheesy grin*

ME! Rusty!! I'm happy and healthy....however, I have to get rid of that smell. So, I'm going to clean for the next3 or 4 hours.

Being 4....

I'm 4 today.

It's hard to believe I've been here with Mom for 3 years now. We've had lots of great times together and that's why she calls me Rusty--the BEST cat!

I hope all cats have a wonderful birthday today.

Of course then my Mom threw out the line....

"You'll be NEXT orangie! In March!!"

I forgot to tell Mom....I'll be on vacation in March. No vet for me!!

A cat can never be late, so I'm off to pack!!

Hey everyone!

It's me--Rusty!

I have a few minutes, so I thought I'd sit down....with no thumbs and type. Well, actually....I'm telling Mom what to write. MOL!!

We had a great Christmas. Lots of toys came from our orange and white pals Dusty Miller and Hooch. Thanks guys!! We play with everything!! Though, Baxter likes to hog them all.

We didn't have snow on Christmas, but we have some now. Our weather here is funny....well not to Mom because she drives her car and says it's too slick, but then she says she is a wuss!! MOL!!

On New Year's Eve and Day, we all stayed home and sat with Mom. She was happy not to be working. We watched an old TV show with her called "The 3 Stooges". She said that they reminded her of us...me, Patches & Baxter. I guess we make her laugh.

Today, Mom was sad to see a cat dead on the road to work. She had seen that cat wandering the neighborhood. She said that if the kitty was there on the road after work, she'd move him when she got home and sadly she had to. We saw her come home and get the snow shovel only to leave again. The ground was too hard to dig a hole, so she put him in a wooded area. Mom didn't want to watch car after car run the poor cat over. She says that could have been Baxter or myself a few years ago. We are 2 of the luckiest cats around. So tonight, we'll pray our St. Francis prayer for that poor kitty. We hope his journey to the bridge was a safe one. At least he is no longer in the cold.

It's me!! Rusty!!

Hey to all my friends...

I'm sorry for my being gone. Mom has been so busy that she doesn't spend much time on the computer with me. :-(
That makes me sad....but I think I understand.

So, I've been spending time in my thinking box. Yep! I have my very own box!! It's the coolest thing ever!!

One night, my Dad threw down a shoe box and said, "here's a box for you Rusty." I looked at it and sat in it....thought for a while and then got out. So, that's why Mom calls it my 'thinking box'.

I think all cats should have a thinking box! It's a place to clear your mind.

However, this thinking box is also my sleeping box and my meditation box. It has many uses!! The coolest place ever!!

Be on the watch for pictures of me in my thinking box.

The two cats....

are now in foster care. This is from my friend:


i gave them to a foster family that works with a no kill shelter so i know they wont be put to sleep or out on the street but just the thought of never seeing them again is breaking my heart. They were my babies for over a year.


It's sad they won't be a family anymore. What happened was wrong....
