We originally called her "Tortie" because of her markings, but eventually that became too much of a mouthful and we just referred to her as "Tori". We added her to the waiting list for a local stray shelter that is no-kill, but eventually the weather took a turn for the worse and we decided to let her sleep in our garage and we began giving her a little food every night. Then we decided to have her checked up at the vet and at that point we decided we'd already put so much time into her that we'd just keep her. We bought her a purple collar and an ID tag and now we have our own little guard cat. We're not sure if we're going to keep her as an outdoor cat or bring her in...it's one day at a time with this little one!
