Arrival Story:
A friend of a friend was moving in with his partner and had the worst time finding a place. The place they finally found would NOT allow cats, not even tempoarily while they found him a home after the first one fell through. He was desperate, and I wanted a companion for Jack who was alone a lot while I was at school, and Jack hates that. That didn't work out, because Whisper really would prefer to be an only cat, but we love him anyway, and he tolerates the other two cats.
Bio:
For some reason, while he'll enjoy pettings from me all day, he only purrs when I pet him at night, in bed with the lights off. Or if I'm wearing the green terrycloth robe.
At the beginning of Sept 2007, he started showing signs of having difficulty eating and drinking. On Sept 10 we got him to a vet who discovered he had a very aggressive form of cancer growing under his tongue, and there was nothing to do to save him. With the vet's help we let him quietly run off to the Bridge. We already miss him.
