A walk on the wild side

On Monday I decided that the house wasn't big enough for me and the other cats, so I waited for my chance. Yep, when Mom and Buster came back from their morning walk at 6:30 am, I leapt over Buster, through Mom's legs and out that door. Free at last! Down the street I went. Hah! I would not listen to Mom's cries of "here kitty, kitty". No, I would explore the wild world. Okay, so this was pretty dumb. I picked the coldest day so far this year and the street was full of kids, cars, barking dogs, and trashmen emptying dumpsters. The driving sleet was the straw that broke the camel's back - maybe I should head home. Now where was that place??? At last! It took me fifteen hours but I found it. Now how to get in. Yes - meow - that should alert Cara. It worked! But maybe I don't REALLY want to go in. I'll just wander around the yard and yowl. But Mom outsmarted me. She brought Buster out and I couldn't resist my best friend and I ran to greet him. A hand swooped down and "whoosh" I was zipping through the air and into a toasty house. So maybe food and warmth are more important than space. We'll see...........
