I found an add in an on-line newspaper about a woman who found 5 kittens in a berlap bag on the side of the road...she was looking for home for them. A co-worker and I contacted her and schedule an appt to meet with her and her husband. We went there one afternoon and met her family. There were 4 females and 1 male kitten...about 7-8 weeks old.
When we walked in, the kittens were all over the place playing (I wondered if I was ready for parenthood as it were), and then I made eye contact with this little kitten. She was beautiful...all white except for her orange ears and stripped orange and black tail. Almost instantly, she awkwardly galloped towards me-couldn't stop on the hard wood floor and collided with my shin. I knew she was for me (I am also known for my clumsiness). I picked her up and started to pet her, kind of craddled in my hand and forearm. While I was talking with the woman, my co-worker/friend was playing with the other 4 kittens. She fell asleep in my hand in less than 5 mins. I always said that I would know my kitten when I found them, but as it turned out, she found me.
Baysil, the kitten, is now 5 years old and queen of the house. She leads a charmed life and has the run of the place. She's my baby girl...

She was a great travel buddy. We moved from Los Angeles to Boston in July 2006.
