My Adventures

dirty girl

My mom gave me a bath last night!! I have IBD which can be a very messy disease but I was still horrified. I mean I am a cat afterall, we know how to bathe ourselves. I made sure to let her know how I felt about it with really loud screaming meows. I will say though, it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be and she was quick about it. But I had to forgive her immediately when it was over, because she had a nice warm towel for me, straight out of the dryer. I curled up on her lap and took a nap. I guess baths aren't so bad afterall. That being said, I could do without one for another 16 years!

Here are seven interesting facts about me.

1) Sometimes when I meow I don't make any sound at all and other times I have a very dramatic meow.
2) I have yet to try a food I do not like, although you would never guess it by my petite stature. I also eat any leftovers Max might leave.
3) I may look sweet and innocent (and I am most of the time) but I have been known to strike fear into the hearts of more than a few vet techs. There was one girl inparticular that I had to do a little re-arranging of her facial features after she poked at me 1 too many times.
4) I love to go outside and bask in the sun.
5) I like to tickle my mom's face with my whiskers when she is sleeping and sometimes I chew on her hair too.
6) I pick at the floor around the water cup when I am drinking from it.
7) My cheeks are stained a yellowy/orange color from this awful medicine I have to take twice a day. When my mom tries to give it to me I like to turn my head so she misses my mouth. It would be better if she didn't hit my face, but I figure wearing it is better than tasting it!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

December 20th 2007 12:18 pm   [link to this entry]

So my mom finally went and got me a Christmas tree. (She certainly took long enough about it.) I just love Christmas and snuggling up on the velvet tree skirt where it is so warm and cozy. Then if I get thirsty, I have plenty of drinking water right there. Mom freaked out the first time she saw me drinking from it,because she had put these tablets in the water to help the tree last longer. But I didn't think it tasted funny at all, and I don't even mind a couple of pine needles floating around in there it just adds a bit of flavor if you ask me. Anyway, I am pretty sure I must be getting something good, because my mom keeps on telling my what a good kitty I am. (She didn't see me on the counter last night though, hopefully Santa was too busy too notice!) I really hope Santa is good to all my kitty friends and I guess to Max too (since mom will make him share whatever he gets with me anyway). Meowrry Christmas!!

Get well purrs

I just wanted to thank all you nice kitties who have been purring for me to feel better and leaving me Rosettes. I can't tell you how much it means to me and my mom. I have tried to keep up with them all and send back personal thank you's, but am afraid I may have missed someone.

I really do hate the vet! My mom told me when she took me this spring that I wouldn't have to go back for a whole year. But this is my 3rd trip back in less than 6 months. I guess they are worried because I keep losing weight. I was really good though. I didn't bite or scratch anyone. I just growled a few times to let everyone know that I was not happy and how dare they subject me to such treatment!
