Brown Tabby

FOOD (I use to be 23 lbs before my new parents adopted me, now I' m old and have a thyroid condition) and WATER! I really like the new flavors of Fancy Feats -- the elegant medleys -- my mom and dad have been holding out on me apparently!

Being picked up without warning, going to the vets.

Favorite Toy:
My long sheep fur mouse of some 9 odd years. Strings of any kind.

Favorite Nap Spot:
On the couch near the window, her favorite chair, or anywhere the sun is.

Favorite Food:
Bacon if I'm lucky, chicken chicken and TURKEY! I love Thanksgiving because I can smell the turkey and remind my parents the whole time it is cooking that I want some.

She's retired her skills but she has developed a very loud FEED ME NOW MEOW.

Arrival Story:
I use to be my grandmothers store cat and before that I belonged to an old lady who had a stroke. Unfortunately she mistook me for a large rodent and I was terrorized until the old lady's daughter realized what was happening to me. After than I was adopted by my grandmother (my current mom's mom) and was a store cat. To this day I'm very moody because my 2 year experience with my first mom after her stroke I was a store cat for almost 2 years and was featured in the local paper back in 1998. Since the store closed I've lived with my new mom and dad for going on 8 years and have been a very happy cat. Though between the other cats (now just Callie as poor Cookie and Danna passed away) I'm not very popular but that's probably because when I was younger I was only nice to my daddy. I guess I just didn't like women after what happened with my first mommy. Now I live for food and water and taking my thyroid pill which makes me feel all better. I really hate going to the vet, but I like the car ride. It's just the actual vet's office that gets me upset. Mom and dad usually drive around town after just to calm me down

I'm ever so closely approaching 20 years. I had a stroke in 2000 and then again in 2001 followed by a stroke in early 2006. The vets are amazed I have made it this far. I also have had thyroid problems for 3 years now but my zest for life (food and a nice nap) keep me going alive. I also thank Callie for keeping my blood rushing and even though I get mad every time we cross paths I reall do love her. Daddy keeps talking about moving back to Greece with mommy and talking us all but he's been saying that for 5 years now. I wonder if at this rate I'll ever get to relax in the sun on the islands... Opa!

I had another stroke last night

I had another stroke last night and things didn't go well. My mommy and daddy hugged me goodbye last night as they didn't know if they'd see me. This morning mommy moved me into the sunshine, I really like that. I was hoping I could see daddy one more time, but I died before he got home from work. I was 20 years and 3 months old and I will be greatly missed. Chirp.

I have been feeling better lately now that mom has been giving me the new Fancy Feast flavors -The Elegant Medleys . I'm deaf, but I can still tell when people are in the room if I pay attention. My eyesight isn't so good, but I can either feel the vibrations of the people or smell them. Mom and dad used to have to go find me and bring me to the kitchen to eat breakfast, which I really didn't like because I don't like being picked up. Now I can tell when mom is in the kitchen making breakfast and make my presence know by talking and chirping. I never used to do this!
