Leia was a litter of three and was dropped off at a pet shop with one of her brothers in hopes for adoption. That night my parents decided that if the two kittens were still there the next day they would take them home. The next day, Leia's brother was adopted, and the third brother was dropped off as well. Later my parents came in and realized that the male kitten had been taken and was replaced with a bigger male kitten. The female, Leia, was still there however.

Leia's full name is entirely inspired by Star Wars. Leia Organa is the full name of Princess Leia, and Solo is the last name of Han.
