2 Years too Soon

Today is my 2 year anniversary on the Rainbow Bridge. Mommy was expecting it but today just came up on her too fast... She woke up this morning and she knew what day it was immediately... Although it rained a lot last night, I have brought down a beautiful day for her to enjoy. She will never forget anything about me or what happened that day. It may have been 2 years, but it's been 2 years long with mommy still starring out her window at the street, every morning... every day. It's hard on her since the street will always hold the most tragic memory of our lives...

I watched mommy this morning, as she tiredly walked over to the window and looked down at the road. She looked in the lushious greens yards and the cloudy sky from the rain. She turned around and looked toward the tombstone she made for me over a year ago. She told me about today... my 2 year anniversary. 2 years have past and yet, I still wonder why mommy continues to blame herself for what happened... She knows she shouldn't but she still feels that way.

Mommy, I'm still sorry we have been separated, long ago. But we will be together again soon... I'm purring along with your prayers for me.

Cat's Prayer Poem

Mommy has updated our angel pages. I love my page's new look... it's so cute and pink! I told mommy we wouldn't disappear on her while they were in Florida. I've been jumping around the place and being lazy with Saki and Leo. Who knew being an indoor kitty could be so relaxing and worry-free?? While mommy was looking up some backgrounds for me, Garfield, and Digger, she came across this cute cat prayer poem! Along with this long quote about the rainbow bridge.

Back at Home

Mommy has been praying for us to come back down to visit soon. We haven't "seen" each other for quite sometime now... since mommy has been so busy... I decided Garfield and I would surprise her before she left for Florida. I'd walk by and she'd look over and sense me, she was happy. We'd run around the house and have fun.

One night mommy was lying in bed and I wanted to join her, so I curled up on her bed next to her. She rolled over to sense me lying close to her. She smiled and wished I was physically there so she could kiss me good night, but we smiled until we fell asleep.

I've been close to her that week and I noticed how much she wanted to help the poor feral, Domino. Mommy was upset to leave all her babies while they went to Florida and she hoped Garfield and I would stay at home until they return. I've been trying my best to talk with Domino and see if he'd like to have a home with someone who would love him no matter what and someone he could call mommy. He's been going by the house a lot and Luca and him are starting to get the hang of seeing one another. I had a chat with my little boy and he seems to be alright with Domino keeping a few feet away, Simba too. We'll have to see what happens!

I'll Walk with You

Oh mommy, I know you've been noticing me around the house. I'll jump out and pounce back into hiding. I'll zoom by quickly and duck away for ambush. You know how happy I am, especially being able to be with you. I've decided to be by your side always, no matter what. Only some of the places you go are sometimes too scary for a little girl like me...

But I go where you go. I'm sorry if I ever spook you but my sudden appearance or scare you when you least expect it. You've been thinking of me being home. I enjoy little Leo and Saki. Your babies. Saki is pretty and it's just like looking in a mirror when I see her. Leo looks loved. Aren't you glad I helped you with him when I wasn't there? ~Yes Arlene, I've been very happy and thankful for that moment... I can't say enough for you leading me a little angel~

Luca and Simba look great. I still can't believe how much my little boy has grown... he's been telling me how much mischeif he's been getting into. Since when has he been going on the roof this often?? Simba looks better. He's grown too... My how everyone looks so good. But mommy, please keep in mind that I am always near. Especially since you seem to be sensing me next to you now. I love to talk with you. I know you've been hoping we can talk to each other soon.... that day will come. I promise. And mommy... don't forget Garfield is around as well. You know he wouldn't want you out of his sight.

I almost forgot the time when I had my first catnip mousie! Remember that?? Oh it was so much fun! I would throw it across the patio and I jumped and actually flew across the room in mid air chasing after it... I remember sky diving all around the patio with that mousie and Luca was just a wee boy. Since it's Christmas, you wouldn't mind getting an extra catnip mousie for me? MOL! Oh and you better play with Leo more. He's wanting that laser pointer back out! MOL Me too! That thing is so much fun to chase... remember when I'd chase it as the old house? I would punch the door to get it MOL! Let me have a chase after it again soon?

Sticking Together

I've been sensing someone a lot lately. I'll see something in the corner of my eye, take a look, and there's nothing there. I'll see movement, take a look, and it's not there. I'll see a flinch, look over to see, and nothing. What is it? And what I find funny... it's following me. At the store, at my dad's, just about anywhere... there it is. I'll hold my breath, glance over quickly, and swallow the lump in my throat.

I sometimes see it run across the room or duck away to hide. And sometimes... sit right next to me. If it's that close, I look over and stare into the nothingness, but see the hint of a shine from their eyes.

I hope it's Arlene staying close to me...

Going Home

I went back to my home on earth once I knew that my mommy (the girl, but she was our mommy so we will be calling her that) was home for sure. She was gone for a week and Garfield and I sat waiting and waiting and waiting. I got a furiend up here to watch the kits. They are 1 year old but I want to be sure they're safe while we're gone.

Garfield stood next to me looking down the Rainbow Bridge, starring at earth with a smile on his face. We got a chance to go down to earth and visit the family. I was excited. This was Garfield's 2nd time. I told him how to handle it and everything. He looked at me smiling. "You ready?" I purred, "Yes!" We jumped up in the air and opened our new wings and flew down the Rainbow Bridge. It came to where we were in space, but still flying on the bridge. A bright star shone and we made our wish. In a blink of an eye.... we were home.

We climbed through the window. Apparently it was dark outside. We were careful trying not to freak mommy out. Garfield jumped down to run to her but I told him to wait. He looked at me looking anxious to go say hi. "She's so grown up! Oh I wish she could see us!!" He cried. We walked through the den and stopped. "That one is Leo and that's Saki." I said. Garfield cocked his head. "Saki looks just like you." He said. I shrugged. "I know! But she couldn't continue to go on without me. She loves Saki, but Saki's looks help her remember me." I smiled. "And I like that."

Leo came running toward us and jumped in the air and landed on the chair and starred at us. "Hi Leo! It's me Arlene and this is Garfield!! We came for a visit! We're staying all week! You want to play?" Leo swung his tail and smiled. "Of course!" He said flying through the air and running into the bed room. I ran off after him. I ran under the futon and waited. Garfield walked in and slipped under the bed. Leo popped out of no where and ran back to the den and I was chasing him again. This is so much fun!!

Mommy was sitting at the computer laughing at Leo. That's when I knew... She knows we're here! I told Garfield and he smiled. He ran out to the den and sat next to the chair she was sitting in. He starred at her. "Garfield..." I said watching him. He flicked his ears. Leo jumped down and started chasing me into the bed room. And then we had some tackles by the futon! Saki was happy we were here. "Now he won't bother me! I think I'll get some sleep. You cats have fun." She said walking to the den and laying down in her basket.

I walked back out to the den with Leo. Garfield was still sitting there. She was thinking of him, I could tell. I sat and watched. She was viewing our profiles on catster. She smiled looking at our pictures.

It was starting to get late and she turned off the lights. She picked up Leo and walked to her bed. Garfield and I followed her. She layed down in bed and went to sleep. I looked over at Garfield. I knew he was up to something. But during the night, we just had some fun with Leo and talked to Saki some. It became morning. I was napping under the futon and Leo was on the bed with mommy. Saki was sleeping under the bed. Garfield was on her bed as well. I sat in the middle of the floor to watch. Garfield went into her dream. He was doing exactly what Leo was doing. I watched as she laughed and kissed him and scratched him and loved him. How they gave each other so much love in that dream. I knew Garfield asked Leo to do that so he could go into her dream.

"I'm still your baby boy just like Leo is." He began to purr. But I don't think she heard him. "I love you so much. I am always with you like Leo is always with you. How you two love each other, I still love you." Mommy laughed. She couldn't hear him. But she said "I love you, Garfield." She woke up only seeing Leo standing on top of her. She smiled and gave Leo a kiss. Garfield jumped off her bed and walked over to me. "I had to." He smiled. Mommy walked by and went to the computer. She wrote a diary entry for Garfield about the dream he gave her.

We went under the futon to take our nap. We were beat from that night of playing. "She is always loving us... and we will always love her." Garfield purred, right before we fell asleep.

Happy Birthday Baby!

It's has been quite a while since I wrote in this, but because today is so special, I just have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my baby!!! I am so proud of you Luca! You are growing up to be a fine looking tom! I will be right there tonight to tell you in person! I am so excited!! Garfield wishes you the best and don't get into to much trouble young man!!!

Just because I'm over the rainbow bridge doesn't mean I can't come down there!! ;) I love you Luca and Garfield does too, furry much!!! We are so proud of you and we hope you get lots of love!!!!!

My Book For You

Oh Arlene, I was thinking today and I know you left the rainbow bridge to stay here on earth with us, but I want to write a book for you, your kittens, and garfield! I know your kittens are about to turn a year old, but I'd like to write about the rainbow bridge and about you and your cat family!! The rainbow bridge is a wonderous place and everyone's own home that we all don't know anything about, but that it is "magical" and beautiful!!!

I hope you like and don't mind me doing this, but you're always on my mind and in my heart!!!!!

Thanks for Coming

Arlene, I have known you were there with me all of last week! I felt your presence and I felt your love!! You know I loved having you visit me and that you got to see Saki and Leo. I sensed at most times that, they would jump out and attack thin air when it was you they were probably playing with! You are always so energetic!

I know you have always dreamt of being an indoor cat, but you should go visit Luca sometime! I'm sure he'd love to see his mommy!! And tell Garfield I still love him too!! I've never forgotten about him at all! I still love you guys and both of you should make time to come at the same time!!! I'd love to feel your purring, love, and presence again soon!!
