Hi Catster friends..Princess Callie here!

Big News...I have a sister now. Her name is Bridget Bardo. My meowmy decided I needed some companionship and brought home another kitty. She is sweet and friendly, but I am not too thrilled about having her around right now. This has been my castle for two years, so I don't see why I should have to share it! I suppose I will have to get used to her soon enough, but right now I can only tolerate her for 15-20 minutes max. If anyone has any suggestions for my meowmy on curbing my jealous behavior, please drop her a paw mail!

Hugs and Kisses,
Callie Anne

P.S. Check back soon for Bridget's page :)

Very Sad Day

Catster friends, I am feeling very sad right now. I just found out my dear friend Buddie has crossed Rainbow Bridge. If you take the time to read his journal, you will see what a courageous kitty he was. He fought valiantly against his renal disease, and in doing so, inspired me (and my meowmy) to take my health issues in stride. He also took the time to give me my very first star when he wasn't feeling so great. We have all lost a very special Catster friend. May Buddie rest in peace.
Hugs and Kisses until we meet at the Bridge,

Hi Catster friends....Princess Callie here. It's been a long time since my meowmy has updated my page or written in my journal. She claims she is busy! She obviously doesn't have her priorities straight. I hope all my favorite feline friends are doing great. I need to send out some rosettes soon!

Unfortunately, we still haven't moved to GA. We weren't able to sell our house, so we have decided to sit tight until the market improves. I guess it just wasn't our time to move! Apart from the disappointment of not moving, all is well. The weather is starting to cool down now..which means...stroller rides for me! I haven't gone for a stroll in a loooong time as us flat-faced kitties don't do too well in the heat. Sometimes I get desperate and ask Mom to push me around the house...and she actually complies with my crazy requests.... Told you I am a princess :)

Well..we are off to snuggle and watch TV.

Hugs and kisses,
Callie Anne

House For Sale !

Hi Catster friends..Princess Callie here. I hope everyone is doing well. I am happy to report that I have been feeling pretty darn good! I even have a new friend. An unusual friend..but a friend indeed. His name is Negrito. He is an adorable Black Lab. Our relationship started a few months ago when this little puppy kept appearing in MY backyard.. in front of MY sliding glass door. At first, I was terrified of him as he w0uld stand there and bark rather LOUDLY! Now that he is too too large to sneak under the fence, we have formed a nice friendship. We sniff and stare at each other through the fence, and his barking no longer scares me. My meowmy and I spoil my new friend with gravy flavored Milk Bones! I will try to post a pic of my new friend soon!

Well...it's finally happened. Our house is up for sale! I think this means we will be moving very soon. A scary albeit exciting endeavor. My meowmy has started packing and we have boxes everywhere! I sure hope someone makes a decent offer soon. Some people seem to think we are giving our homes away because the market is a little slow! Please check out our listing and pass it on to anyone you think might be interested :) Copy and paste this link: http://webhosts.cisdata.net/bin/rea.php?acnt=AR66762&listing _id=REAGAD38885106&action=HOME_SEARCH&hs_action=FLYER.

Blessings!

Hi Catster friends...Princess Callie here!

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving Day and took the time to give thanks for our many blessings! My Meowmy is especially thankful for having me in her life.

More on blessings.

I had been having major issues with my eyes recently. After several visits to the vet and no improvement, my Mommy decided to take me to the opthalmologist. Well..The opthalmologist we saw is a miracle worker. This sweet lady did an extensive eye exam, increased my Lysine, and started me on some new eye drops. After a few short days, there was significant improvement. My eyes aren't red and irritated anymore, the drainage is almost non-existent, and I hardly sniffle. I feel like a new kitty! Thanks Dr. Tucci!

Did I mention we have been strolling a lot lately..That's right. Now that the weather has finally cooled, Mommy and I have been walking every morning. I love touring the neighborhood and Mommy loves seeing the neighbor's reactions when they realize she's pushing a cat! The only downside is... I am no longer afraid of the outdoors. I am the first one out when the front door opens and Mommy has to watch me like a hawk now! Once in a while, I get to roam in our back yard under strict supervision (see my new pics). I love my new found freedom!

Well..it's time to "help" Mom with the Christmas tree..TTFN.

Hello Catster friends,

Princess Callie here. I am so so happy... I got a wonderful surprise this week. Yep..Christmas came early this year! A few days ago, my Meowmy brought home a BIG box and when we opened it, out came a brand new Jeep stroller. I did overhear Mommy talking about strollers, but I didn't think I would get one so soon! We have yet to take our first stroll though..For now, the stroller is parked in our living room so I can get accustomed to it. I can't wait to venture outside, and I will update you when I do!

Take a look at my stroller pics while I go play with my new cardboard box. Mommy wonders if I like the box more than the new stroller! TTFN

Cat Sitter and Strollers!

Hello friends...Sorry my Meowmy has taken so long to write an update. She has been working too much, if you ask me.

My stay with the cat sitter went pretty well. She treated me like the princess I am, but I still missed my Mom. I woke poor Cindy up with my loud cries every night. She was a bit worried until she realized I just wanted to play. I don't know why she would want to sleep all night when my Mommy and I do the complete opposite. I think she needs to give up her day job and work in the evenings like my Mom does. In spite of my antics, she has agreed to stay with me again next week while my Mommy goes house hunting in Atlanta. Hugs and kisses for my new friend Cindy.

Have you seen the cute strollers they sell for cats? My adorable friend Grover has one. Check out his page! He is on my friends list. Every princess should have a stroller. I really really really hope my Meowmy gets me one for Christmas! TTFN

Vet Visit and the Cat Sitter.

Hello everyone...Princess Callie here.

I'ts been an interesting week around here. My Mom, who is always paranoid, decided my eyes were draining too much and took me to visit the V-E-T. This visit wasn't too bad though..No needles or anything like that. It started out with the usual hugs and kisses from Dr Pane (my vet adores me)...Then he put on some funny looking goggles and shined a bright light in my eyes. After that, he put some strange looking paper in there to soak up the fluid! $80 later, he told my Mom I had an eye infection and gave her some eye drops that need to be put in THREE times a day! I hate those stinkin' drops. They taste funny! Everytime my Mommy puts them in, I stick out my tongue and sneeze. I hope this ends soon!

Now for the cat sitter situation. My Mommy has decided to take a vacation this month. The last time she went away, she left me with my Auntie Mari, who took great care of me...This time, Auntie Mari isn't available and she has decided to leave me with a total stranger..Actually, this person works in my vet's office, so I guess she isn't a total stranger. In fact, Mom refers to her as the Cat Sitter...Yesterday, I actually got to meet this so called Cat Sitter. A pretty blonde lady came over and Mom gave her a tour of our house and told her all about me. It seems that she is going to sleep in Mom's bed and pretend to be my Mom for a few days. I hope she knows I am a princess and need to be pampered! I also hope she knows that my Mom is going to call her every day and check up on me! I will let you know how my stay with the cat sitter goes. TTFN!

My First Entry..woo hoo

Hi Everyone..Welcome to my journal..I hope you will enjoy reading about my wonderful new life.

I think I will use my first entry to tell you a litte more about myself.

My Mommy (Nicole) adopted me in Feb 2006 from a Jacksonville rescue group. I ended up in rescue because my former Mom (a bad cat breeder) had too many cats and wasn't giving me the care I deserved. When I first moved to Miami, I was dirty, underweight and had pneumonia. And if that wasn't bad enough, we found out I contracted the Herpes virus which leads to lots of sniffles and congestion. Despite my poor condition, my Mom fell in love with me at first sight and adopted me anyway. She then spent lots of time (and money) nursing me back to health..As you can see, it was all worth it. I am happy and feel pretty good most of the time.

I have to tell you, the best part of my new life is the fact that I am TOTALLY spoiled! My mom says I am her only "child" so she spends a lot of time with me and treats me like a PRINCESS. Some of the things my Mom does to make me feel special include:
massages
warming up my breakfast
raising the blinds to my favorite window
warming up my washcloth before she cleans my eyes
keeping my litter box spotless
leaving the TV on Animal Planet when she goes to work
playing the "feather" game

Ahhh..life is good!

TTFN...Callie Anne
