Arrival Story:
I found her online from a breeder in Texas. She was only 7 weeks old when she arrived by plane.

she has been losing hair and vet had her blood tested today. She is always thirsty. I am really worried. When she was small, you could take her ANYWHERE. If you put her in a spot, indoors or out, she would stay there indefinately til I came to get her--just like a cub. Her gray sister, Abu Puso (Gray heart in Filipino) lives with my mom.

They gave her an antibiotic shot and put her on VAL syrup. She had elevated amylase in her blood. She goes in Saturday for another shot, then again on the 16th to finish vaccinations. She is almost back to normal again and looking close to her old self.

She is also yowling. She has been in heat for months and the vet thinks her hormones are whacked.

Art's blood work came in with an elevated amylase. We rushed her in for antibiotics and a week of meds. She was much perkier today. I feel better about Artie's health, now that she is getting treated.

The vet also thinks she may have a cyst on her ovary. She goes in heat CONSTANTLY. Yowling is an issue. LOL.
I can relate.

I can't bring her to Texas to breed her until her treatments are done. She has a Savannah named Malek waiting for her. I plan on spaying her after this. If I ever, ever, ever get another female cat, I will never, never, never keep them unspayed. Balty is so nice and he was fixed at 6 mos. Malek in Texas is not neutered and is a holy terror.

Bob Barker, in this case, is right...(about the animals, though BB does need lessons on the ethical treatment of human females, the old lech)

The vet costs are sooo high. By the time it is all over and done next week, it will have cost over 800 bucks. I have already forked over 600 for these visits! I cannot believe how durned expensive it is.

rushed back to vet today

Artie was acting really weird, growling and could barely move. This is not like her at all.

I called the vet and the test results for some reason had not arrived today.

They had me rush her back in and said she was having a reaction to the vaccination, so he gave her a pain killer and said that I should have my results for sure tomorrow.

poor baby.
