Arrival Story:
I first came home when my Mom was in college, in Gainesville, FL. Her friend got me from a shelter and gave me to her as a birthday present. I wasn't so sure I liked my new Mom, so I spent the first three days under the futon, watching her every move. Soon I figured out that not only she was harmless, but she was in charge of the brown pellets I liked to eat, and I came out to claim her as my favorite sleeping spot. Now we are fast friends, and I meet her at the door every night when she comes home. Mom, Cody and I have lived all over Florida, Boston and now in DC. When we met Dad, I had to check him out too, but I warmed up to him about 30 seconds into the inspection. He spoils me more than Mom, and lets me scratch on the couch when she's not looking. I still prefer sleeping on Mom, though.

Bio:
Even though I love Mom, one day I decided I needed a pal. So Mom went to the rescue and brought me home my OWN kitten, Cody. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about Cody. He's ok, but he tries to steal the love away sometimes, and then I have to smack him. When no one is looking, though, I let him give me a bath. I have taught Cody everything I know, like how to steal the good spots on the bed, how to find and attack toys and bring them to Mom and Dad, and that he needs to defer to me when I am eating or drinking, or getting love from Mom. He's not too good on the last one.
