My babies

I am so happy to be friends with Muggy, Bill & Violet. I raised these kittens and was especially close to Muggy and Bill. They were the last kittens that I raised. I am a good uncle, but so many kittens come through that I turned kitten raising duties over to Muggy and Bill. They were very good at it until they were adopted into a loving forever home. Now Petipaw is the kitten raiser in this house. Not me.

caretaker

the other night my person was worried about one of the foster kittens. She just didn't seem right and wasn't as alert as she usually is. I knew how worried my person was. I kept trying to make her feel better by grooming her hair and face. She doesn't appreciate this at all. I slept right beside my person on the extra pillow on the bed . . .so I would be there to groom her and make her better . . . .if only she would let me. The next morning the kitten was better and back to her usual self. The next night I slept in the bed, but not on the pillow. I always know when comforting is needed.

meetings

Last night my person had a meeting. I have become a little shy around people I don't know well. I didn't attend the meeting. The foster kittens did. They kept playing and interrupting everything. I waited until everyone went home. Then I demanded to be held up on my person's shoulder like a baby.

diary of the day

I was diary of the day. Oh my what an honor.
This morning I didn't want my person to go to work. I felt that she needed to stay home and take care of me. I told her at great length what she should do, but she went to work anyway. Oh well, guess I will watch the birds and nap.

Friday

today is Friday oh good. My person will be home some tomorrow. She does spend most of the day at the Yolo County SPCA placement trying to get foster cats adopted. That is a good thing. June is adopt a cat a month. I hope lots of people adopt all the cats that are waiting for forever homes.

table sitting

I love to sit on the dining room table. My person does not like it when I do. Hmmm guess I will have to do it when she is at work. This morning there were lots of birds in the bird feeder. I love to watch the birds. It is even better when I can watch them from the table. Whoops she is home gotta run

thoughts for the day

I wish my person would stay home and help me watch the bluejays that have started coming to our bird feeder. She explained that if she didn't work there wouldn't be any cat food. Well, I love food so although I complained I let her go to work.
Tomorrow is Saturday and she will take the foster kittens to placement. She has been coming home sad because there haven't been many adoptions lately. There are so many kittens and cats needing homes. If you are looking for a new friend, please please go to your shelter to find your new friend, check on Petfinder, or look at rescue groups in your area. If you just got a new friend, please spay and neuter your animal so there won't be so many cats, kittens, dogs and puppies looking for homes.
I know how bad it can be. I was rescued by a brave and kind person. She saw some bad kids throwing rocks at me and stopped. She picked me up and took me to the Yolo SPCA and saved me.
I hated going to placement and persuaded my foster home that I was meant to be her cat. She believed me and I have my own forever home.

adoptions

Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts. My person was very happy Saturday when there were adoptions. There are still lots of cats & kittens, but some pressure has been taken off the group.

keeping the faith

This weekend my person will have all of the foster kittens going to placement to hopefully find their own forever homes. This year has been one with kittens with eye problems. So now we have a one eyed foster named Cinders. She is very sweet and is a really nice kitty. Many people won't consider her because of her disability. I think that is wrong. Please if you are looking for a forever friend choose rescue, visit your local shelter, help the homeless animals. This will make my person happy and will make me happy too!!

Ok everyone I have a plan. I want all of these foster kittens to be adopted. So, again think good thoughts for my person & the Yolo County SPCA adoptions sites. Maybe if they are all adopted I will have more time with my person. Last night I slept on her pillow to try and tell her how much I love her. I know she knows, but I would feel so much better if she would just let me groom her. I keep trying and she keeps saying Dodger no lick.
