Arrival Story:
Cat was born in a litter of 3 under our neighbor's trailer some time in early October of 2012. We had been watching the neighborhood kids playing with the kittens so one Sunday morning we decided to call them over and give them some food. We let our front door stay open since it was a nice day and the kittens felt comfortable enough to come and go. This little gray kitten decided that she really liked us and stayed much longer than the other ones. There are so many cats in our park, none of them really belong to anyone. This kitten had clearly chosen us, so we decided to keep her.
After we had her for a day we decided that it would be neat to have one solid gray cat and one solid black cat. So we thought we'd bring in one of her siblings as well. Kat was NOT happy with that idea. After I brought the other kitten in she wouldn't play with me, wouldn't sit in my lap and wouldn't sleep with the other kitten. That evening we had to give the black kitten back to its mother outside. Kat was normal again by the next morning. She had been clearly sulking all afternoon. LOL!
Bio:
She is the smartest kitten I've ever seen. She's very people oriented and looks us right in the eye when we talk to her. If I'm sitting she's usually curled up in my lap. She doesn't like being reprimanded, which usually consists of her being told "No!" and removed from the scene. Then you can see that she is sitting there thinking about what she just got fussed at about.

So did you guys know this? *looks around questioningly* I couldn't believe my eyes earlier today. My new human-lady filled up this giant bowl in the room where we "do our business" (wink-wink) and guess what she did next! SHE SAT IN IT!! Not only that, she poured water all over herself. All I could do was watch in amazement.
Seriously, I thought it was totally bizarre when she got me all wet and rubbed that slimy, bubbly stuff all over ME, only to rinse it back off again. I mean, what's up with that? I smelled weird afterwards, too!
What is this obsession with water that they have? Can't they just lick themselves like normal, civilized beings? Life inside a house can be so confusing sometimes.
