Tomorrow is my first birthday! It's so hard to believe! Also, Mommy stayed awake later than usual tonight so she could make me a purrty picture frame. It's surrounded by different cartoon bugs (I love bugs) and a birthday cake! She'll try to add that pic tonight.

Lastly, I understand Mommy will buy me a birthday pressie. I can't wait to see what it is!

Well, I must go now. It's bedtime for me.

ON COLLARS AND BOAS

I don't like collars even though they are pretty and/or cool looking! I get out my "bitey" teeth and attack them every time. Betweem my biting on said collars on Sunday, Mommy managed to get a couple pics of me wearing them. She told me that I won't be wearing them all day long and they were only for photo shoots. Thank goodness!

As to boas, Mommy pulled out one from a bag and put it on top of me. I wouldn't wear it. I wanted to play with it. In fact, I grabbed the boa and started to pull it out of Mommy's hands. We had a good old game on tug-a-war with it. I hope she brings out that boa again!

Also, I licked Sampy's toes after he licked me on the head. His tongue tickles! I bet I ticked his feet too! MOL!

Lastly, we've getting nice sunny and warm days since Friday. They called for t-storms yesterday and they never happened. They're calling for them again today, and so far, nothing! Good!

Well, I must go now.

BUGS WITH LIGHTBULBS ON THEIR BUTTS

OMC! I saw the weirdest bug on the outside of the bathroom window screen last night! It was glowing on and off like a lightbulb was stuck to its butt! I told Mommy to come to the window and asked her what in the world was that silly looking bug.

She informed me it was called a lightning bug or a firefly whichever you prefer. They come out before summer starts.

I was pawstruck to say the least and hope to see more of those cool bugs in the future! I never seen one before as I wasn't born yet and didn't move in with Mommy until late September.

Speaking of summer,the first day will be June 21st. The day after, I will be one year old! Can you believe that? I'm so glad Mommy adopted me from Last Chance Animal Rescue from PetsMart in Laurel, MD last September. Bailey Gray was adopted from the same place but in Greenbelt, MD in 2005.

Anyway, I have several new pics to add to my page. They're already loaded but have to be moved to the first page.

Well, I got to go now as it's bedtime. I can't miss my beauty sleep.

FOLLOWING IN SAMPY'S PAWSTEPS

WOWIE! I'm following in Sampy's pawsteps. Today, I am one of the Diary Picks! I extend my concats to Sampy for yesterday and I also thank the Diary Gal for honoring us both this week!

I also thank my following friends for their kind concats and gifts:

1. ANGEL BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2. GLEEK - cool comment;
3. SMILEY CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail;
4. MILO BLUE EYES - cool comment;
5. XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS & Family - lovely red rose & cool comment.

Also, yesterday and today have been summer-like reaching 90 degrees. It wasn't as sticky though. Mommy has the ceiling fan in the dining room going and another fan along with drawing the blinds. It kept it nice and cool for us. Mommy doesn't turn on the AC unless it goes over 90. If we can get by with fans, it's great as it helps keep the electric bill down.

Anyway, I got to go and let Mommy finish getting ready for work.

DON'T FORGET THAT I LOVE CHICKEN TOO!!!

I loved that chicken Mommy cooked yesterday too! I wanted more also! It has such a yummy flavor which is much better than any moist cat food we're fed everyday! Frankly, I could eat chicken all day long if it was my choice.

Also, poor Mommy had such a hard time loading up my first video. It wouldn't load at all. She got it to work through the browser and then it kept saying it was waiting and never took even after a try of over 1/2 hour. The video was only 9 seconds long too!

Is anycat having a problem with Catster's video loader? Please pawmail me if so. I'd appreciate it.

Also, I have some more pics to add. Hopefully, there's no fleas hopping in the photo loader!

Lastly, have a pawsome Memorial Day weekend, everycat!

WE'RE ALL HOT IN OUR HAIR!

It went from winter to summer
Oh my, what a bummer!
Now we're all hot in our hair
We're all hot in our hair!
So Mommy if you dare
Please turn on the air
'cause we're hot in our hair!

Just a little rap song composed by Merl, Mommy & I. I even rapped along with Mommy on this one. It was so funny! Everytime she said, "hot in my hair" I meowed back. This would have been a good video but unfortunately no one was there to hold the cam-corder.

Anyway, we have had a few hot days after quite a long cold spell. It seems like we skipped spring. We were all getting hot frizzy hair, especially me and Mommy.

Got to run.

PLAY BALL!!

Mommy asked me the other night if I wanted to play ball. I followed her into the kitchen and dropped my little fuzzy ball with a bell in it at her feet and looked up at her. She then threw my ball, I ran after it, picked it up in my mouth and brought it back to her. This was repeated three more times.

See, I'm a smart girl and I know how to play ball. I also kick the ball or mouse around and throw it up in the air and swat it myself.

All my brothers look at me like I'm nuts. I know, I'm not. I think they're jealous!

Anyway, we've had strange weather these weekend. It's been cloudy and not too warm yesterday and it drizzled a little. Today, was warmer and the sun came out for a bit in the late afternoon. No rain though. I surely hope the sun comes out like it did on Friday.

Wowza! Sampy and good old me are Diary Picks today. Yep, paw in paw! How cool is that! We, of course, got concats from Mommy and the rest of the gang.

Thank you Diary Gal for honoring us today for our Mother's Day entries.

I also thank my pawsome friends for their gifts & concats:

1. ANGEL BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2. GLEEK - cool comment;
3. MILO BUES EYES & Family - cool comment & pretty pink rosette;
4. MORTICIA & BLACK CATS CROSSING OUR PATHS - yummy pink frosted
cupcake;
5. SMILEY CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail.

Also, we got another sunny day today. Unfortunately. it feels more like early April or late March. Whenever we get a nice warm, windows open day, we get a nasty T-storm and it turns cold for three days. Bummer! Wednesday will be warn again.

Anyway, I got to go now. Have a pawsome day.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

May 12th 2013 2:08 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ]

I wish our Mommy a happy Mother's Day and also everycats' Mommies too!

We got a bunch of #1 Mom freebee gifts from HQ that our friends can send us. I thank the family of Louis LeBeau and Milo Blue Eyes for mine.

As to this Saturday, Mommy tried to do the community yard sale, to no avail. As soon as she set up her stuff in our front yard, it started to rain. She had to carry her umbrella and "tarp" up the merchandise as the rain started to come down heavier. She did this for about an hour; there were no sales so she said "forget it" (putting it mildly). She put everything into the trunk of her car so she could take it to a thrift store later on. Soon after she did this, it stopped raining and the sun came out. "Typical" she said and posted on FB.

She then went around to other yard sales in our neighborhood and talked to one lady who made $300.00!!! She, of course, had very large beach umbrellas hooked up to her tables so the merchandise wouldn't get soaked.

After that, Mommy told me and my bros that she went to Three Brothers for lunch and then to the Laurel Main Street Festival. It was loaded with live music, crafts, food, clothes, etc. She also stopped in to see her friends Cindy & Paul who own a shop on Main Street.

As to today, Mommy went to our Grandma's grave site and put some pretty roses there. She gets sad at this time of year so I tried my best to cheer her up with my fancy Maine Coon sing-songs that I do a lot while I run from room to room.

Lastly, after that rain we had late Friday night and early Saturday morning, today is bright and sunny but much cooler. Mommy has the windows cracked open a little so we can enjoy the breezes and watch the birds.

Joss

ON BATHTUBS AND MOTHS AND CENTIPEDES AND BEES

May 5th 2013 6:22 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ]

First of all, Mommy's bathtub was clogged. Plungers, bailing out, and Drano didn't free up the human hairball and soap gunk. She had the bathroom door shut for several days until her neighbor got back from vacation. He had a snake (not the reptile kind) which he used to finally get the tub unclogged.

I'm so glad that I got my tub back! Boy oh boy, did I ever miss going in there to chase my tail every day! I hope this clogged tub ordeal doesn't ever happen again!

Secondly, there was a bug called a centipede crawling on the hallway ceiling. It drove me nuts! Mommy eventually caught it when it came down the wall. Also, there was a moth flying around in the hallway, and I cauterwauled at it. Mommy wished she took a video of this. I was acting like a clown!

Lastly, before Mommy left to go shopping, she and I heard a loud buzzing in the living room. It turned out to be a bee which was in a blue jar full of pretty stones. She took the jar outside and set it on the front porch so the bee could fly away. She also told me these bugs "sting".

Well, that's about it. We certainly get a lot of bugs in our house during the springtime. I also forgot to mention the ants, but they don't excite me as the don't buzz or fly.

Got to go now as it's my bedtime.

Purrs & Breeps,

Joss
