It’s my Gotcha Day – the Mama had totally forgotten about it, but it’s been, as of today, a whole year since they brought me inside. Maybe I’d be alive anyway if they hadn’t… but quite possibly not.

I’ve grown a lot since that day of snuffling, spindly-legged adolescence. Somewhere along the way, I discovered my voice – literally and figuratively. I’ve filled out; my legs have gotten stronger – I can jump on the bathroom sink and into the bathroom window! I still have to climb to get on the kitchen sink, but as the Mama has declared this area “no-cat’s-land”, this doesn’t happen very often. That’s OK; I only want up there if she’s at the sink anyway. Samhain jumps up there BECAUSE it’s forbidden – and she gets sprayed for it. :)

So, anyway, life is pretty good. Now if they’d only walk me at 4:30 AM when I first wake up, things would be purrfect!

Iz Ur FIRST Gotcha Day, Fearless!!!~Happy Day my saweet furiend!~ U 'n I r lotza a like 'n I did no know'z how close we were to havin' Gotcha Days ina same month!!~ I so happy U were GOTTED 'n brought inside!! I know what ya mean 'bout gettin' up on counters 'n stuff, I jus' wanna see what mom's cookin' up!! I love food! But her sez it's no no land too. Sigh. We're jus' smart 'n intuitive 'n need'z ta know!!~ U haz grown into a purry beautifur young kit~! I sooo happy fur U, now...let's PAWTY gurlfuriend!!~

Isn't it great to live inside? I am so happy you got "gotted". I admit I have sneakedd onto the sink once or twice myself. I just wanted to know what it was like. But there was nothing there for me. I justt hate hearing "no" so I just dob't do it.
