If you would like to play the Spring game, just copy my diary, change the answers to yours and tag five of your furiends!
Five Things I Like About Spring:
1. Running on the leash outside – of course, I do that in the winter, too!
2. Chasing bugs in the cattery
3. Chasing balls in the house – oh, wait – I do that in the winter, also! MOL
4. Sitting, or better, running in the warm sunshine
5. Dragging the Mama under low hanging branches while I am running on the leash outside in the warm sunshine – yay SPRING!!!
Thanks, Snowie for asking me to play.

I get to make the introductions: Meet Owl!!! He's been with us a month, but we only just got back from the vet today to get our boosters and get Owl checked out. The Mama says she didn't want to jinx anything by putting up his page too soon, but now here he is!
The vet lady says he is fine, other than a little respiratory infection and some ear mites. He had blood tests, and got his ears cleaned, and his first vaccines, and some Clavamox (yuckie!!!). And guess what - he's already put on almost 2 pounds since he got here - he was awful skinny!
I'm already playing with him some, and so is Uncle Socks, but Samhain says "forget it!" and the Sleep isn't all that enthusiastic, but she's not mean or anything.
So, I guess now I'm going back to sleep, because the shots always make me feel kinda weird. Owl's having a little dinner, but I think I'll eat something later...

What can I say? My first and only real boyfriend, Snow, has asked me to be his valentine again! I feel honored that so sweet and handsome a mancat would want me – a clip-eared feral girl descended from a long line of feral cats – far, far removed from our barn cat ancestors.
He is so white and shining; I am dark and more comfortable in the shadows. But when I’m with him, I feel like a better cat. Thank you, my Snow, for making me feel special.

It’s my Gotcha Day – the Mama had totally forgotten about it, but it’s been, as of today, a whole year since they brought me inside. Maybe I’d be alive anyway if they hadn’t… but quite possibly not.
I’ve grown a lot since that day of snuffling, spindly-legged adolescence. Somewhere along the way, I discovered my voice – literally and figuratively. I’ve filled out; my legs have gotten stronger – I can jump on the bathroom sink and into the bathroom window! I still have to climb to get on the kitchen sink, but as the Mama has declared this area “no-cat’s-land”, this doesn’t happen very often. That’s OK; I only want up there if she’s at the sink anyway. Samhain jumps up there BECAUSE it’s forbidden – and she gets sprayed for it. :)
So, anyway, life is pretty good. Now if they’d only walk me at 4:30 AM when I first wake up, things would be purrfect!

In honor of Skylar’s CAT OF THE WEEK status, Zachery Kolohe Rider has started a new tag game called: "Who are you really?" Answer with your alter ego or as yourself.
The questions are below - just copy and paste. And tag 5 kits to play along. For you who may not be familiar with doing the links, don’t worry about it; just add the names, but don’t forget to p-mail your taggees to let them know.
Oh, and anybody else who wants to play, go ahead, tagged or not! Let the games begin!
1) Tell me your funny Christmas story.
I don’t really have a funny Christmas story; last winter I was just trying to fit in with the least amount of stress. I was so happy to have a home!
2) Where's your favorite hiding place when playing hide and go seek?
I mostly hide out in the cattery behind the straw bale under the window, but the other day the Mama found my other secret hiding place: in the cloth cat carrier which she leaves on the couch in our room. Not secret anymore! :(
3) What did you dream of being as a young kit?
That’s easy - an artist!
4) What's your favorite hobby? Anything goes.
Watching birds, squirrels and stuff from out in the cattery.
5) What’s your one "bad habit" that you love and your Mom hates?
In the morning, while we’re waiting for the Mama to fix our breakfast, I like to jump on the Sleep and bite her. Sometimes she plays with me, but mostly she gets grumpy, which irritates the Mama ‘cause she’s trying to get our food and the ferals’ food ready as quickly as possible (to prevent any squabbles) and I’m not helping the situation! MOL!
6) If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
There’s no where else I’d rather be than right here!
7) What is your guilty pleasure? Food, skirts and suits or cars? What?
Stealing pens and stuff off the Mama’s table! (She made a cartoon about that one. :) )
8) What is your favorite make believe monster? And yes girls, unicorns and fairies are included. Post a pic of this mysterious beast.
Well…there was the leprechaun, but he wasn’t very scary, and monsters should be scary, I think. Sometimes there’re monsters in the dark outside of the cattery that frighten me and I come bolting back inside real quick! This last one was really smelly, too:
monster in the dark
9) What is the one dreaded thing you have to do at home? Babysitting, taking baths, entertaining guests....what is your dread?
Taking medicine of any kind!!!!!
10) I’m not so sure if Zach and Zoe are going to have coed ships this year or not, but in any case, which ship would you want to be on: Zach’s, or Zoe’s? Gris, will also be having a small ship (more like a dingy) that our kits could be on.
I’ll either be on Capt’n Zoe’s ship, the Blood Thirsty Princess, or I’ll go with Gris. If he does take the dingy out, he may need me!
I tag...

I hesitated before posting this cartoon, since today we are all mourning the passing of the Catfather's best bud Squeaker. But decided that innocent laughter is never an affront to the angels. This one's for you Squeaker.
Raza has been a source of inspiration to the Mama. Here's the second Fearless cartoon.
