The life of a service animal

This past year

We ended up coming back to FLorida on September 11 and people made a big deal about her flying with me. They wanted to kick her off the plane because of me being unlucky? Huh. I am not unlucky. I am a good kitty. The plane people just laughed at them. I did come back to Florida without my balls. I miss them.

Shortly after I got back we moved into a big place!!!! I ran across the house but kept falling cause the floors were wood. Mommy laughed at me.

Then the human kid returned. I don't like him. I hate the way he holds me. Picks me up and pets me. Mommy tells him to leave me alone too. He tries to be nice, I let him at first but then I give warnings. I dunno, guess I am just a mommy cat cause I don't like the guy that sleeps in bed with her either. I got him in the dangly parts and mommy almost marked the bed. He was not happy.

I do see another black kitty around. She's nice. She stays by mommy and the bed. The three legged kitty was nice too. Mommy cried so much and she had a seizure. I am always there for her.

Like tonight she opened the bedroom door and goes Zeusie bedtime and I come running in. I know too dog like but what if she needs me.

Speaking of dogs, I rule that giant mutt! He may be bigger than me but I am alpha animal in this house and no stupid dog is gonna out rank me!

Black cats are NEVER unlucky - just shows what they know!!! I come from a whole colony of blackies, and we're all very lucky, believe you me. i think that's cool that you're a seizure cat. May I ask, how do you alert your Mama when the seizure is coming? I don't know if I have any special talents, except that I am very loving and I am always happy!

Well, when she is about to have a seizure it depends on where she is. If she is bed, I lay on her and WILL NOT let her get up, if she tries to push me off her back, I will bite her and then she usually just lays back down. She knows. If she is walking about I will bite her feet to get her to sit down. If she has a nightgown on, I pull at it and try to drag her to the chair.

When she is at the computer I lay on her chest (well I do that often anyway, just to bug her) but I usually try and take her glasses off or crawl up her head so she cannot see the computer screen. I have now learned if I touch the computer screen I can make things go away (she has a touch screen) So I am learning to mess with that. She is still learning my tricks.

Hi, there. I'm one of Fearless's sister/cousins, and rather more articulate (mol), so I wanted to add that I'm especially fascinated by your interaction with the computer screen. And that you would try to take off your Mama's glasses. Have you been in touch with other service cats - have you heard of this before? And did you just start doing these things, or was there any training?

No, I just started doing thing like this. I have never been in touch with other service kitties, but I have been told that I do not count as a service animal b/c I am a kitty. The ADA says "Cats aren't smart enough"

Sorry but I'm smarter than a darn dog. Stormy sent me to protect her and protect her I will. She's sick today and I'm taking care of her (the male human doesn't do a good job, she prefers me)

I follow her to the bathroom, the bedroom, the living room. And when she leaves, I wait by the door until she comes home. (I even help dry her after a shower b/c sometimes she's dizzy and can't dry her legs - so I lick them dry)

Well, we all know how much we believe THAT old myth, don't we? Meow - hisssss!!!
It's good that your Mama has you to take care of her - carry on with the work, bro!
