Arrival Story: The weekend of Christmas I heard something at the front door. I opened the door and there was a very tiny kitten and he came running right up to us crying. He was cold, wet, hungry, and scared. We searched for a mama cat or any other kittens and could not find any. We took him in and he has been a part of our family since.
I love to watch my mom cook dinner! Prep work is so interesting! Fortunately for me mom has an old baking dish she doesn't use anymore and she lets me sit in it while she prepares dinner. I love watching her, and sometimes I make suggestions (I don't know that she understands completely). I wish I could cook, she makes such good food! She was making salmon the other day and let me sample a few pieces. I could hardly stay in my spot, the wonderful aroma of the salmon was so overwhelming, I just wanted to eat it all right then.
One day maybe she will let me help. I keep trying to help her, but she moves me away before I can get started! At least she allows me to watch and talk to her about it. One day I am going to cook, its my dream!
I am a very curious cat, and love exploring new areas. Today I decided to climb on top of a very tall cabinet and check out the ceramic cat that lives up there. Curiosity got the better of me though when I saw that Coca Cola pitcher. I was wondering what would happen to it if I pushed it off the top of the cabinet? Does glass break on tile? I decided to find out. It turns out that glass shatters into a million pieces and makes a really loud sound thats real scary. Mom cleaned up the mess and then got me down off the cabinet. I had to spend a few minutes with my head buried in her hair and calm down.
In case you didn't know, if you drop glass from a good height onto a tile floor, it makes a tremendous mess.
