Arrival Story:
Duke, our German Shepherd, was playing in the yard as I was cleaning dog doo up. All of a sudden I see him Sprint into the house...throught the already torn screen sliding door (dogs, lol) and knowing he likes to chase bunnies, squirrels and other animals I knew he chased something into the house...which was unusual. I found him in the basement and he was looking up at the rafters. I thought, "Oh, no. There's a raccoon or squirrel in our rafters." I ask him to leave the room and with some hesitance he does. I look into the rafters to see...a miniture black panther. No older than maybe 4 months. I put her in a carrier and tried to introduce her to the dogs but she was too worked up so she got a bedroom to herself and we took it slow.

Bio:
Tiny all black kitten except for a couple sparatic single white hairs. She is a love bug who always wants attention. She follows you around the house like a little puppy. She has moxy too. If she's had enough of the dogs...mostly Duke. She will swat at him with all her brute force or give him a little nibble on his muzzle lip.

Diary of the Day today & recovery update

Today I am one of Catster's Diary of the Day Kitties.
So excited!!!
Yayayayayayayayayay!
This will be a great day.

I've already snuck out of my recovery room to visit all my puppies this morning. I've been real good. Yesterday Daddy let me stay out all day while the Momma was at work and he was at an event. He put all the doggies in their wire rooms so I could walk around and sleep on the bed. When Momma got home she let the puppies out and they were so happy to see me. She told them to be gentle and both Duke and Paisley cuddled with me on the bed. Momma took some cute photos of this on her phone. They are the two doggies who like me best. Ruby could take me or leave me she doesn't care one way or the other.
I forgot to tell you. When I went to the vet they weighed me and I'm 7lbs now.
I got my yearly vaccinations and I am ready for another safe and happy year.
I'm using the litter box well and I am eating very well and all is going very much as planned.
I have not licked or chewed on my stitches and have not had to wear a cone head at all. Which is very good for my mental state. I've seen Ruby and Paisley wear one. They looked so sad and pathetic. Not a good look for them. Elizibethan collars are not coming back in style any time soon.

Recovering nicely,
Isis Luna

Thank you for the Power of the Paw, Chewtoy.
"Isis,
I hope the surgery went well and you're already up terrorizing the dogs. But my advice is to lay around for awhile and milk it for all it's worth. Your Mom will give you all kind of treats to make you feel better and baby you."

As answer to your POTP message I am feeling better but I am trying to do the kitty thing and get all the loving but it sure is boring. I cannot terrorize the dogs yet. Momma will not even let me see them right now. Not for a week...5 days left. She wants to make sure I heal completely.

No kittens for me

Momma says I'm going in for my spay surgery tomorrow morning.
I am slightly over a year old and no one has claimed me so I guess this means I'm forever family.
Momma says there are too many unwanted kittens in the world and I'm gonna do my part to keep that under control.
I am so cute though. Maybe I want to be a Mother someday.
Then again going through heat is so painful for me and I hear that Tom Parts are Barbed --OUCH!!!
I think Momma is right. I can be very happy as a stay at home ki-ki with no responsibilities.
And not to be forgotten there is always adoption. So many options I could find the perfect kitten to be my baby if I so choose.
The future is bright with possibilities and no unplanned surprises.
