A Compliment and Mystery Gift

Hi Everybody! Mom said I can start my own diary. She said I may not get to write often, but if I have something important to say, at least I have a way to say it.

And important news is what I have. I need to thank someone and I don't know who it is. I was tickled to receive a heart yesterday with the cutest message in it. But they didn't say who it was from....

Here's where the compliment come in.... In the message with the heart it said "Oh my~ I love a girl with a mustache! You are adorable!"

See Mom....it is okay to have a moustache! Why do you groom and preen in front of that mirror every morning? Throw away those tweezers!

There Mom said I could write, if I had something important to say. I think I had two things.....

AND Mom should take a lesson from me about facial hair!

Oh My! Speechless

OMC I am Diary of the Day! Sure I finally get a diary and now I am speechless!

This really brought a smile to Mom's face today. It is kind of a bittersweet day. Mom has been sad lately because so many of our friends have gone to the Bridge or are facing serious illnesses. We lost friends Alfie, Milo taken so young. Now Blizzard needs our purrs because he is very sick and they are not sure what is wrong.

I want to say thanks to all of you for all your comments and pictures and pawmails and presents. Do your secretaries work 24/7? Some of you are up so early in the morning, MOL! I'm a snoozer, myself! You are such pawesome friends. I'll be back later to update my page and add those pictures. You guys are so talented.

Valentine's Day

Hi Everybody!

Well the big day is tomorrow! Valentine's Day! This is my first year of celebrating because Mom said I was too young last year. It is kind of a confusing holiday... Why do you choose one Valentine? Can I have more than one...look at all the handsome mancats we have in this place! MOL! What do I do if more than one mancat asks me to be his Valentine? Can I write to "Dear Tabby" to ask for dating advice?

I have a my very first Valentine this year...His name is Smokie Boo He is beautiful, A Russian Blue, with gorgeous green eyes. He can be a tough, just ask some of his siblings, but yet he is such a loving, sweetheart. We have things in common....We both like Fancy Feast and love to be petted. We both like watching the birds (Sorry, Tabbies!). We are both from big, furry families. And while I was looking through his photos, I see that we have similar taste in home decor. We have the very same tulip placemat in our house that Smokie does in his! (I don't know how to do the links for photos,sorry.)

My Song

I know my brother Skylar once mentioned it and then Ivan talked about it last week. Mom sings to us. We almost all have songs that are just "ours". Mom just put my song on my page. She will hold me in her arms, with me belly up, and sing this song to me. No other song will do. I melt. It is our song! Take a listen!

I just wanted to publicly thank my lovely brother Skylar. You all know he is a sweet, loving, gentle and all around good mancat. You can now add that he is very good at sharing! Yes, he shared his URI with me. I started sneezing and coughing today. Mom started me on the antibiotics and will call the vet first thing in the morning. Thanks Big Brother!

Today is my birthday

Today is my 2nd birthday. We actually started celebrating last night because Mom was up passed midnight. Two years ago I was born with my litter, under the picnic table in the yard. Mom brought us in when we were old enough, taught us to be sweet and cute and tried to find homes for us. I remember Mom taking me and Porter for a car ride to a couple who were looking for a kitten. They took a look at us and then picked my sis. I know she got a nice home, but I am glad they didn't pick me. I got to live here with my sis and the rest of my furry family. Plus they didn't have a computer, so I wouldn't be on Catster and have all you great friends. Isn't life something?

I've Got a Date!

I am going on a date with Smokie Boo. He asked me to go to a fish fry with him. I can't wait. I admit, I kinda was flirting with him for a while. Okay, maybe I threw myself at his paws. I can't help it, I think he is handsome. He says he is grizzled, but I think he is just being mancat-ly. He learned to be tough on the streets. That makes me feel safe to go places with him, I know he can handle whatever trouble comes our way. He is a little bit older, but Mom said it ok. Smokie has to go get his teeth fixed up, but just think, after that he will be able to chew on the crunchiest fish bones and not have trouble, and he won't have to worry about stinky breath. We'll gotta go, I need my beauty sleep, if I don't get my 15 hours, I'm a wreck! MOL!

Some like it Hot!

Tonight was garbage night. Mom went through the fridge and tossed out some science experiments. We also have a compost pile up the backyard so she went through the veggie and the fruit bins. We keep a container on the counter where we put things like banana peels, coffee grounds, etc that gets carried out to the pile. Mom put in three long skinny hot peppers that had gone bad. She just ran upstairs from the computer for a minute and what did she find?

Me.... playing with the hot pepper. I had gone up on the counter, into the container and pulled out a pepper to play with. I had obviously put it in my mouth at some point. They are hot, like wash your hands when you touch them hot. Mom took my fun away and watched me for a while. I smacked my lips a little but went right on playing with another toy. A cat toy, this time!

I guess some like it hot!
