Arrival Story:
I have been searching for that perfect cat for about 3 years now. I looked into adoption, I spoke with breeders, but no cat I saw felt right. I just didn't feel that special connection. One morning I woke up and my husband told me that he had a dream that I had been playing water war with my family when I found a tiny kitten. He said that I fell in love and wouldn't let anyone touch it. That afternoon there was a huge storm and we went home to check on my dog(Echo Moon Cotton). A strey cat who we had been feeding happened to have had kittens earlier in the week. I got out of the car and the cat (who we call Ems) walked up to me and dropped this tiny little kitten at my feet and ran off. I, not knowing what to do, stood there and waited for her to come back for her baby. Eventually I accepted that she wasn't coming back so I picked up the kitten. As soon as I looked into her little eyes I knew. She was the one. I fell so deeply in love that I refused to let anyone hold her or even touch her. My dog, who is generally jealous, fell head over heels for her as well. She now goes everywhere with me. she sleeps on my chest every night. She is absolutely perfect in every way. I never believed myself to be a cat person (because cats generally hate me)but I can't imagine my life without Bonnie.

She is the daughter of a strey black and white cat we call Ems and a solid black male cat. I got her when she was a week old. I don't know what breed she is.. or even know how to find out. She is black and grey with a white spot on her chest. she has green/brown eyes that change color in the light. she is perfect. (and currently curled up on me asleep while I am typing this.)

A kitten who loves horror films!

Today my husband and I, who are college students, decided to have a "Friday the 13th" marathon while we write our History papers... I found out two things from this experience.

1. horror movies and history papers do not mix. nothing was accomplished.

2. Bonnie is absolutely in love with horror flicks. From the word go she was attached to the TV and didn't leave the spot until the credits rolled. And as soon as we put in the next DVD she became glued to the spot once again.

It was amazing. She watches TV all the time, but never like this. It was almost like she was hypnotized. I'm pretty sure I could have waved tuna in front of her face and she wouldn't have blinked!!!

kitty flu

today we found out that Bonnie has the cat flu. It isn't bad, she is just sneezing up a storm. But it seems that it shouldn't last too much longer... poor baby is just misserable. Other than that thought she is doing wonderfully... she still reigns supreme over Echo and has the Hubs wrapped around her paw.
